Hey sis I remember when you 1st started; you looking good and skating backwards so effortlessly. I started in Dec. 2023 and still can't skate backwards but I'm still enjoying myself and down 50 plus pounds so I will take the fineness...LOL. stay safe!!! oh and the music is so fitting.

Hey! I’m so glad you’re still here! Enjoying yourself out there is the most important and kudos to losing weight in the process. The skills will continue to come with time, but in my opinion, sounds like you’re doing great regardless. And ikr I was so happy when I found that song 😁🤗 you stay safe out there too!

I’m taking skating lessons through September, while in Chicago. I saw a three year old skate fearlessly. I got to get like you and baby boy.

I have just got back on my skates. Absolutely loving it but going backwards? I don't know if I can conquer that move, maybe I will get more confidence as time goes by or with a skate buddy. Great smooth flow, thank you ❤

I need to get better but already thinking of approaching the sports centre and organising a roller disco. It's such a feelgood buzz! You seem to be having such a great time skating, why the name 'StruggleSkates?' Keep on rolling friend! It would be great to get you here to teach for a bit! 😊❤️

I love that you want to make skating more popular in Spain, and it’s been on my list of places to visit so I would LOVE to come out there sometime too. The name Struggle Skates came about because I was/still am such a clutz on skates haha…always tripping/falling and trying moves that are way too hard for me 😂…but you’re right I have such a blast every time.

Please wear a helmet when skating on cement. A say this as someone who had a serious head injury that took me 5 years to recover from.

Thank you for sharing that! I don’t always wear my helmet when I’m practicing things that I don’t feel are as dangerous but you’re right things can happen in an instant. I’m sorry that it happened to you 😩

i did go practice! but they put up new signs about not skating on the tennis courts 😭 so i might not be able to as often but oh well lol

@knitwitchcraftingpodcast Glad you got out there! And yeaaa a lot of tennis courts have those signs which sucks. If you can find a court that has cracks/grass growing up through the court sometimes they won’t bother you even if there’s a sign. Or…if you go super early in the morning there may not be anyone there to complain about you lol. I hope it works out for ya!

Please tell me what kind of wheels are you using; I go to a tennis court to practice too, but I think 85A is not the best option.

Hey so mine are actually 85A too at the moment. What do you not like about them? I’m probably going to get a softer wheel soon for trail skating and I’ll have to see how they do on a tennis court.

@@StruggleSkatesI use the Sonar Zen 85As for basketball court practice and concrete rink floors. They’re my favorite wheels. I use the Sure-Grip Boardwalk 78As for trails. I’m going to save this video for backwards inspiration 😊

The struggle is so real lol. I might need to loosen my trucks but I’m afraid of loosening them too much. One popped off on me mid skate one time 😅 keep it up though. We got this!

And edges. Yes! Weight transfer and edges is skating in a nutshell. Oh, and bending your knees!😂 always more bending the knees. SMH
