A great informative video, follow you on Instagram which lead me to this, will follow you on KZbin too 👍🏼 I currently have a similar machine to the Breville and noticed the foam in the yield. Thanks for the detailed review. What wasn’t considered was that we can all get more of everything except time. I own several juicers and juicing produce is not scarce but time is. Elite juicer yes produces better juice, 20-30% more but at what cost - it costs you more than just twice the cost of the other 2, but precious extra mins which could be spent with family, helping others or donating your time to a charitable cause. Food for thought, you can mow your lawn with a pair of Japanese blade scissors for the perfect precision lawn, look and feel ( about 3 day to a week) vs a robo mower ( set and forget ) The key for juicing is to participle - any juice is better not juicing at all. Again great review - if I could afford a maid, I would opt for the Elite.

I guess it comes down to your lifestyle. I had the slow auger and breville. Both have pros and cons. The speed of the brevelle was amazing but I would never do greens (I blend greens). Slow auger was great at greens but took a while to chop everything else. I have both right now. I’ve never tried the press due to cost, which is a huge factor (unless I fast for 30 days and use the savings. Lol). I drink my juice immediately or vacuumed seal in a mason jar. Thus, although Brevelle does deteriorate juice faster, it’s not an issue for me. Noise is night and day but also not an issue. Some say the Brevelle heats juice-no way. Same temp as my other juicers. Slow Auger does give more juice-but trade off for speed. I wish I could buy a cheap hydronic press for the counter and press the Brevelle scraps. Kitchen aid mixers have a grinder attachment.... so I just want a small press for under 200. I’ll keep dreaming. Bottom line-can’t go wrong. Buy the one that fits your lifestyle. 👍😀

This is by far the best video I’ve seen on these juicers. Also, very fair comparison with no subtle tricks (that I noticed) to make one juicer “win”. Many comparisons seem biased for their favored machine to come out on top. I see this a lot with Nama reviews. I was impressed and kudos for pressing the leftover pulp. I keep wondering why nobody else seems to think of doing that last check. Interesting that the leftover pulp produced more juice than the difference in yields from the initial extraction. I found that fact rather odd

🙂 I have been seriously (daily) juicing since 2007, and before that it was haphazardly here and there. In 25 years worth of juicer ownership, have to say that the Greenstar Elite 500, is absolutely the best juicer I have ever owned. It cost me $1000 and absolutely money well spent. I know that the Angel juicer is meant to be better, but at $3000 it is a little beyond my price point at present (certainly on my wish list though)

I have a champion juicer with Welles Press, basically does the same as Pure. I go with a horizontal slow juicer for daily juicing, as this literally takes seconds to clean up, even though prep time is done the day before.
@JuiceFeaster
@JuiceFeaster 8 ай бұрын
Glad you have found a combo that works for your needs! I’ve tested the Welles and I don’t like manually jacking up the leaky hydraulic press and cleaning up two machines. In addition, the Champion grinder doesn’t process the pulp to a level anywhere near the level of a Pure. This is critical for opening up cell walls of the produce to liberate the most enzymes, phytonutrients, juice quantity, etc. Also, I’m not a fan of the Welles hydraulic press that has to be pushed down manually after each press cycle. The Pure easily feathers up to initially press gently then go full press to complete the press fully & then comes down effortlessly immediately. Also not a fan of the instability when jacking it, the plastic tray or the painted steel frame that peels off over time then rusts. Sure, it’s 1500 cheaper to buy a champion and a Welles, but I’ll take the convenience, longevity, stainless steel, warranty, nutrient extraction, etc etc of the Pure for the extra cost. To say that a combo of a Champion and a Welles gives the “same result” may be true in the sense that it does press juice. However the process to do so is clunky, messy, slow & inefficient compared to the Pure. Honestly, it depends on one’s preferences. For example, one could say that a Chevy Aveo is the same as a Maserati because it transports a person from A to B just like a Maserati. The journey, experience & quality of the ride between the two, however, are very much different. Thanks for your comment and appreciate you tuning in!

This is a great and helpful video, thanks for sharing. It strikes me that the absolute best juice would come from a slow juicer like the Nama J2 or Kuvings Revo830 combined with the use of a hydraulic press afterwards for the pulp. The major downside I can see with the (otherwise excellent) Pure juicer is the enormous speed of the grinder vs the slow speed of the augers in the slow juicers. Whatever anyone says, it strikes me that anything revolving at over 3000rpm will do damage of some sort to the resulting juice. When John from discount juicers trialed the Pure vs the Greenstar, the colour of the resulting juice was distinctively darker and less pleasant looking in the Pure..John was convinced that it was from oxidation, which is my feeling too. I really do feel that for ease of use too, a slow juicer combined with the press is an awful lot less work than standing pressing it all through by hand. For anyone aiming to recover from serious health issues, this would save a lot of energy..which is also very important to healing. Any thoughts much appreciated though :) Keep up the great work with these excellent videos!
@JuiceFeaster
@JuiceFeaster 9 ай бұрын
Great points! With the grinder coupled with the 2.5 ton press on the PURE, it opens up cell walls more completely and then press creates a greater liberation of the darker orange carotenoids in Carrots or green phytonutrients in greens or herbs, etc. The contact with the blade of the grinder on the pure is a split second, not sustained grind like a centrifugal juicer, blender or food processor. Thus the juice is a darker color from increased phytonutrient content, not oxidation. The Greenstar is an awesome juicer, but doesn’t have the juice yield or nutrient & enzyme extraction, or juice bioavailability of the juice made on a PURE. It really comes down to preferences of juice quantity and quality as well as price point. plus, the Greenstar can’t juice pineapple at all. Some great sales going on right now for all of them for Black Friday: 20% off Greenstars: geni.us/GreenStarJuicer $850 off PURE: geni.us/PURE 30% off Kuvings: JUICEFEASTER30 geni.us/JFKuvings Probably be a sale on Nama’s too next week: geni.us/NamaJ2 Let me know if you have any other questions!

@@JuiceFeaster What an awesome reply! Thank you :) I have done quite a bit more research into the various juicing methods since I posted that original comment- including reading through an excellent research paper on the topic- and you are absolutely correct in everything you said. I am always happy to admit when I am wrong, and I was :) Although counter-intuitive, it is indeed the higher speed of the 'cutter' that breaks open the cell walls and releases the nutrition more fully- something that both Norman Walker, who created the original version of the modern Pure juicer (I say this for anyone reading this comment, as I'm sure you already know this!) and also Dr Max Gerson (of the Gerson nutritional approach to cancer fame) understood very well. I am now lucky enough to also own a Pure juicer, and I can honestly say that the juice is better tasting than anything else I have ever drunk..and I have used most of the other types of juicer. And the yield, is nothing short of incredible. I owned a Nama J2 for a while, and I must say that i just wasn't that impressed- you still have to chop everything up, to some degree- whereas the Pure does this for you, and the pulp was really pretty wet. Unlike the Pure where everything is 'bone dry.' If you're unwell or physically fatigued, I actually find the Pure LESS work than a Nama or Kuvings machine..as the machine does the chopping and pressing for you. And, you can just run water through the machine and then wash later in the day..rather than having to wash it PRONTO after juicing, as with the slow juicers- if you don't, the results can be disastrous with the slow juicers!! It took a friend of mine more than a day to seperate a Nama that he had left for too long!! This is impossible with the Pure machine. I'm with you totally on this- I am also a Pure convert, having tried basically almost every other type of juicer. Great stuff! Happy juicing :)

Hello! The PURE has the absolute best quality juice and juice yield with greens and herbs ( and everything else too ). The only thing that I don’t like quite as well is that when grinding greens, one has to clear off the grid screen periodically to allow the pulp to pass through. It’s not a big deal, but it’s not quite as convenient as just feeding greens into the feed chute of a Greenstar geni.us/GreenStarJuicer or Sana geni.us/Sana Neither the Greenstar or Sana will have as much juice yield as the PURE, but they are the best in their price range. Hello! Thank you! Glad you enjoy my videos! A few questions that I can ask to help guide you on which juicer might be best: Are you planning to juice occasionally or pretty regularly? How much juice do you plan on making at one time? Are you planning on primarily juicing soft fruits like pineapple or hard roots and fruits, greens and herbs etc? Do you want to make juice really fast or are you one with a little bit of time to make it? Are you limited on countertop space? Do you plan on taking your juicer when you travel? Thanks for the video. I am considering Pure Juicer and wondered if I should spend an extra $200 for a serrated cutter instead of the straight one. You have both, but you use the straight one. Why? I will be using it for the Gerson Method. Thanks.
@JuiceFeaster
@JuiceFeaster 11 ай бұрын
Hello! That is great you are considering the Pure. It's the best of the best in my opinion. With regards to the cutter, since I made this video, I exclusively use the serrated cutter. It is a much harder steel and more than likely won't ever need sharpening. That said, the straight cutter is awesome, honestly works incredible as well. I do feel like I get a little bit of "kickback" with the straight cutter compared to the serrated cutter. This is where the grinder pulls the produce down really aggressively and you sometimes get a bit of produce that can shoot back out the top of the feed chute. If it happens, it usually is with greens. I hold the palm of my hand over the chute as I add the ingredients if I'm adding greens with the smooth blade as a precaution. Conversely, the serrated cutter offers a nice smooth, even pull of the ingredients down into the feed chute without the kickback. This is the perfect juicer to use with the Gerson Method. The nutrient and enzyme extraction is next level as well as the bioavailability of said phytonutrients is just incredible. With the press cloths and press combination with the precision grinder, there is absolutely zero pulp as well. Perfect for Gerson! I've tested the juice yield compared to other top juicers as well including the Greenstar Pro, Sana 727, J2, REVO830, etc and, depending upon ingredients of the recipe, the juice yield ranges from 20-50% more juice than those juicers. They are great juicers for sure, but the PURE is next level. High yield, high nutrient and enzyme extraction, best bioavailability, zero pulp....this is why we juice! Once you've made up your decision, I do have a discount code for $50 off. My code is: PUREJF21 Here's the link as well: geni.us/PURE Please let me know if you have any other questions and keep me posted!

@JuiceFeaster
@JuiceFeaster 2 жыл бұрын
Hello! Yes, there is a difference in the pulp amount compared left by the Green Star vs the Pure juicer. The Pure leaves absolutely the lowest amount of any juicer that I have trialed by virtue of the very small mesh size of the press cloths used to press the pulp. The Green Star leaves some pulp, but very little compared to most juicers. If you’re looking for the least amount of pulp (& highest yield and nutrient extraction) I’d recommend the Pure. The next best in those categories is the Green Star. Let me know if you have any other questions! Thanks for tuning in!

Unfortunately, it appears that Norwalk has gone out of business. Sad to see as they have been a long-standing provider of machines that have helped people with their health. Thanks again for tuning in! Have a great day.

@@TwasNeverThus2 thanks for your comment! lots of variables here. I’m sure we are both typing on devices that were made in China. Just because it’s made in China certainly doesn’t make it inferior. With regards to imitation and improvements, I’m not sure why Norwalk didn’t improve upon its own design or optimize manufacturing. There are many, many examples of great products that went away by reason of stagnation. Changing with the times and staying on top of consumer needs are vital to surviving in business. While disheartening to see a long-standing business go away, ultimately a better product exists for customers to improve their health with. Thanks again for your comment! I appreciate you tuning in!

Yes but the pulp has most of the fibre that is good for you
@JuiceFeaster
@JuiceFeaster 2 жыл бұрын
@@atifmanzoor63 hello! There is plenty of both insoluble and soluble fiber still available in home pressed juices. Also, by juicing, we are able to concentrate nutrition and consume far more nutrients, enzymes and phytonutrients than we could eat normally, in an easily absorbable, easily digestible, low metabolic stress format. Eating fresh fruits vegetables greens and herbs is certainly amazing. Adding juices in takes it next level. Appreciate your comment and thank you for watching!

the two step process isn't going to work for people who are trying to work juicing into a packed schedule, none of these are easy to clean, but the pure does seem the easiest except for the cloths which.. I won't say seem insanitary, but the process to get them sanitary seems to suggest it's a pricey machine for someone who considers the cloths disposable and works them into the cost of the output. I'd probably suggest the breville, but honestly I think the sound and the washing of that basket will convince people very quickly to just get their juice from the juice bar. the green star is a dinosaur, it says something that it's basically the same machine for decades. running the pulp through the machine could give you better yields, but it's already a slow process. if they ever make a full stainless version that was bigger, I could see it being the go-to for commercial work. as it is though, I think it's the best. just wish it didn't have sooo many pieces to clean.

What would you recommend for commercial juicing?
@JuiceFeaster
@JuiceFeaster 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Abraham! For a cold press juicer that is really fast and has NSF certification (what health departments require), I really recommend this juicer: juicergalaxy.com/products/kuvings-cs700-master-chef-commercial-whole-slow-juicer If your budget permits and you’d like to get the best yield, I’d acquire the PURE juicer as well and use its press to press the pulp after using the Kuvings C700. This will be a fast, cold press combination with two very good juicers. Let me know if you have any other questions! Happy to help.

Both are great, but I use the serrated one exclusively. It’s the hardest, most durable of the two and more than likely won’t ever need to be sharpened. That’s great you’re thinking of getting one. It’s an incredible investment. I’d love it if you used my code and saved $50 in addition to the 15% off sale that PURE has on this month. @JuiceFeaster Жыл бұрын
Hello! To my knowledge, pure only makes electric hydraulic two stage juicers. I have seen a manual press but have not tested it. You would also need a grinder and press cloths. The PURE grinder is especially designed to break cell walls of produce quickly and efficiently liberating the highest nutrient value and juice yield once pressed on the press. Hope that helps!

It’s a good one for sure! There are some things that I don’t like about it. It won’t juice pineapple at all, as well as some of the softer fruits like grapes are difficult with it. I appreciate your opinion, but compared to others, specifically the ones reviewed in this video, it is definitely more difficult. Especially the fine mesh screen of the juicer basket.
@guitarlearningtoplay
@guitarlearningtoplay 2 жыл бұрын
@@JuiceFeaster I have all the juicers in the video so that is not true. The large basket of the Breville is easier because the whole screen is open and removable. With the Green Star the screen tube is tiny and hard to reach every nook and cranny. Fiber gets stuck in hose nooks 100%. Also if your lose the brush you can just use a regular dish brush like you can with the Breville. With the Norwark and the Pure the hard part to clean is the grinder. You have to take it part and again are dealing with a solid metal small tube. Plus with those it's a pain to clean the juicing bags in my opinion rather than a screen. Some people have tricks like putting them in the freezer to freeze off the excess fiber but again that's extra work and included in the clean up. Personally I have my own method to use a slow grinder to grind the produce first and so I never use my Pure grinder only the press. I have owned at least 20 juicers. The Champion, single auger horizontal, vertical, wheat grass only juicers, hand cranked juicers, so yeah...
