We've had one of these for about 5 years now, and we LOVE it. Saved SO much money on detergent cost! We've used detergent in maybe a dozen loads since we bought it. Give it a try. Don't fall for the "we still use detergent because we've always used detergent, so you can't go without detergent because.... nothing?" argument.

After just a few weeks our clothes smell 100% better. It's great

@@LandtoHouse The left behind detergent is what gets moldy. We have been using one of these for more than a year. We only use detergent for stain treatment and the bottle we bought a year ago is still 90% full. We only wash clothes with cold water (which also saves energy) There is no mold in our machine and everything smells good. Try using the machine the way it is meant to be used.

Thanks for your honest evaluation.. I appreciate you saying that you cannot judge the Purewash for its stain removal capability. The priority for my family is stain removal over deodorising..We have no labourers or sports enthusiasts but I cook a lot and constantly end up with oil or butter stains on my clothes. I'm far from convinced about its efficacy in that regard. Have seen many non-individual reviews which bunk all of the claims so I'll save my money. Incidentally the build up that you find in the seal is merely fibres with detergent residue and if wiped out with paper towel every second week will not smell gunky. Cheers from Canada.

Ozone injection (O3) does help with sanitizing the laundry, but you still need soap to remove the dirt & oil.

You seemed to give more in depth reviews of the light bulbs in your shop! What’s the wattage on this? Made in the US or China? For those of us that would rather watch you in a video than go do a bunch or research, what does the ozone do for the washer? For what it cost to purchase and operating costs, would you recommend it? Just having a blue light behind the dryer, could almost be snake oil 😉. Sorry to rant, I liked the video, now I have to go do my own research.

Perhaps that is true :) I have not checked the technical specs. I just know that my clothes have smelt better in the past 3 weeks than the past ... 15 years. After 3 rounds in the wash my gym clothes odor has gone. That has never happened before. For a front loader this should be installed standard.
@waylonhartwell5 жыл бұрын
Every front load washer I have ever used or seen you always have to leave the wash door open when you're not using it so that seal dries out I actually spoke to a Samsung rep about it once at a trade show and apparently front loads have been like that since they were invented but now that the seals have gotten better it's even worse so they even recommend that you wipe the seal dry after use and leave the door open to let the whole drum Airdrie it's too bad they don't just have a drying cycle that would run when the machine was empty I imagine they do on more expensive models

Wayhart we got rid of our front loader and went back to a top loader. Front loaders just don't clean anywhere as good as top loaders. Plus you will ALWAYS get that mold and mildew no matter what you do.
@mattself2665 жыл бұрын
@@EpicATrain I've owned front loaders since their reemergence onto the market in the mid to late nineties. In my experience they wash better than the older style top loaders. In fairness, I've not owned any of the newer HE top loaders. I've never personally experienced the mildew, but we leave ours cracked when not in use. My mother, on the other hand, has experienced the mildew.....she also prefers the wash of the front loader. I guess everyone has slightly different experiences.

Leaving the door cracked slightly does help a lot. We have started using the ozone in every wash and the mildew seems to be gone.

My filter is 1/4th pink just down from the top. The crystals in the rest of the filter are a blackish grey. Do I wait till all the crystals are all pink, before changing it? I dont want to waste money by changing it too soon.

I've used the purewash Pro for a few months. We have a pretty good bit of urine soaked laundry and have had no staining or odor left after washing with no detergent and using only cold water. I do get some light rusty looking stains that I did not see before washing. Probably from something spilled on the item and left to dry in it. I gather up the stained Items and presoak them in oxyclean type stain remover. I am now pouring the water through our water purifier to keep it sanitized. works pretty well. I like to wash y berries and vegetables in the ozonated water. I am amazed at the dirt that washes off them. I would like to find a cheaper and more effective enzyme cleaner. Does anystill use the enzyme cleaner that was in the box with the pure wash installation kit??

Our front end load washing machine cost an arm and a leg and smelled terrible, nothing worked, although this might have. We have a top loading washing machine now, and leave the lid open when not in use, never any odour, none at all. I would never buy a front loading washing machine again.
@LandtoHouse5 жыл бұрын
The smell is gone! It's only been a couple weeks but it is working. I do agree that these front load machines are way too expensive. My work has a front loader that washes four loads a day. It stays so busy there's never a smell. But with our 4 loads a week we definitely had an issue.
