Not trying to be provocative but where in the Bible is purgatory listed? I think after you die you either go to Heaven or Hell. Now there are probably levels within these two places but I don’t think there is a purgatory. Show me that Iam wrong.

Matthew 12:32 (those sins forgiven in the purgatory age) Should you not have had pity on your fellow servant, as I had pity on you?’ Then in anger his master handed him over to the torturers until he should pay back the whole debt. Matthew 18:33 (this is done to us in purgatory) And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. Better for you to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into Gehenna, where ‘their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.’ Mar 9:47 (quenchable vs unquenchable fire) The Simile of Salt. “Everyone will be salted with fire. Salt is good, but if salt becomes insipid, with what will you restore its flavor? Keep salt in yourselves and you will have peace with one another.” Mar 9:49 (salted with the fire of purgatory) As for the dead being raised, have you not read in the Book of Moses, in the passage about the bush, how God told him, ‘I am the God of Abraham, [the] God of Isaac, and [the] God of Jacob’? He is not God of the dead but of the living. You are greatly misled.” Mar 12:27 (all the dead who are saved are alive in Christ) Even now the ax lies at the root of the trees. Therefore every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.” Lk 3:9. & He will baptize you with the holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fan is in his hand to clear his threshing floor and to gather the wheat into his barn, but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire.” Lk 3 (quenchable vs unquenchable)

You also must be prepared, for at an hour you do not expect, the Son of Man will come.” Then Peter said, “Lord, is this parable meant for us or for everyone?” And the Lord replied, “Who, then, is the faithful and prudent steward whom the master will put in charge of his servants to distribute [the] food allowance at the proper time? Blessed is that servant whom his master on arrival finds doing so. Truly, I say to you, he will put him in charge of all his property. But if that servant says to himself, ‘My master is delayed in coming,’ and begins to beat the menservants and the maidservants, to eat and drink and get drunk, then that servant’s master will come on an unexpected day and at an unknown hour and will punish him severely and assign him a place with the unfaithful. That servant who knew his master’s will but did not make preparations nor act in accord with his will shall be beaten severely; and the servant who was ignorant of his master’s will but acted in a way deserving of a severe beating shall be beaten only lightly. Much will be required of the person entrusted with much, and still more will be demanded of the person entrusted with more. Lk 12:43 (4 types of servants - 4 types of punishment - 2 permanent - 2 temporary) “I have come to set the earth on fire, and how I wish it were already blazing! There is a baptism with which I must be baptized, and how great is my anguish until it is accomplished! Do you think that I have come to establish peace on the earth? No, I tell you, but rather division. From now on a household of five will be divided, three against two and two against three; a father will be divided against his son and a son against his father, a mother against her daughter and a daughter against her mother, a mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.” Lk 12:49 (a quenchable fire) Why do you not judge for yourselves what is right? If you are to go with your opponent before a magistrate, make an effort to settle the matter on the way; otherwise your opponent will turn you over to the judge, and the judge hand you over to the constable, and the constable throw you into prison. I say to you, you will not be released until you have paid the last penny.” Lk 12:57-59 (WE are thrown in prison - WE are paying the debt - NOT Jesus) Then he also said to his disciples, “A rich man had a steward who was reported to him for squandering his property. He summoned him and said, ‘What is this I hear about you? Prepare a full account of your stewardship, because you can no longer be my steward.’ The steward said to himself, ‘What shall I do, now that my master is taking the position of steward away from me? I am not strong enough to dig and I am ashamed to beg. I know what I shall do so that, when I am removed from the stewardship, they may welcome me into their homes.’ He called in his master’s debtors one by one. To the first he said, ‘How much do you owe my master?’ He replied, ‘One hundred measures of olive oil.’ He said to him, ‘Here is your promissory note. Sit down and quickly write one for fifty.’ Then to another he said, ‘And you, how much do you owe?’ He replied, ‘One hundred kors of wheat.’ He said to him, ‘Here is your promissory note; write one for eighty.’ And the master commended that dishonest steward for acting prudently. Application of the Parable. “For the children of this world are more prudent in dealing with their own generation than are the children of light. I tell you, make friends for yourselves with dishonest wealth, so that when it fails, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings. Lk 16:1 (a metaphor for helping the “master’s debtors” - what We do for Souls in Purgatory) but those who are deemed worthy to attain to the coming age and to the resurrection of the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage. They can no longer die, for they are like angels; and they are the children of God because they are the ones who will rise. That the dead will rise even Moses made known in the passage about the bush, when he called ‘Lord’ the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob; and he is not God of the dead, but of the living, for to him all are alive.” Lk 20:35-38 (the dead in Christ are alive, they are not dead)

If anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, the work of each will come to light, for the Day will disclose it. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire [itself] will test the quality of each one’s work. If the work stands that someone built upon the foundation, that person will receive a wage. But if someone’s work is burned up, that one will suffer loss; the person will be saved, but only as through fire. Do you not know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for the temple of God, which you are, is holy. 1 Cor 3:12-17 (a description of the process of Purgatory - note it’s not “unquenchable fire”) Otherwise what will people accomplish by having themselves baptized for the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, then why are they having themselves baptized for them. 1 Cor 15:29 (Clearly Paul continuing from above shows that after death - people can be prayed for or helped - we say that those people are in Purgatory) In this you rejoice, although now for a little while you may have to suffer through various trials, so that the genuineness of your faith, more precious than gold that is perishable even though tested by fire, may prove to be for praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1:6-7 (a description of what Purgatory is like) Then I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire. On the sea of glass were standing those who had won the victory over the beast and its image and the number that signified its name. They were holding God’s harps, and they sang the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb: Rev 15:2-3 (2 category of the saved - those that were absolutely pure - and those needing purification - those who went through Purgatory) Behold, I am coming soon. I bring with me the recompense I will give to each according to his deeds. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.” Rev 22:12 (Jesus himself says that deeds are essential - as they are the true measure of faith - not simply declaring verbally “I believe in Jesus” but ACTING on that)

My parents told me about a Parish priest (elderly Spanish priest) telling them to not waste money on flowers. Flowers are for us, not for them. He said to have masses offered for them. Pray rosaries for them. Pray for their souls.

In 1986 I met my future husband who told me the story of how his former girlfriend and her friend were found in Florida murdered by a truck driver. I immediately decided to pray for their souls, Kim and Lisa. Now almost 36 years later, my list of souls for whom I daily pray has grown to close to 200. The list contains relatives, friends, acquaintances, former students, famous people, priests, archbishops, nuns, etc. As a Catholic school teacher, I would share the list with my 8th graders every All Souls' Day to inspire them to start their own lists. These souls can't help themselves, but they can pray for us from Purgatory and from Heaven. This is truly the Communion of Saints. Thank you, God, for your incredible love and mercy.

I have Seen in very vivid Dreams family members leaving Purgatory due to my prayers. Also I very clearly heard our nephews voice asking for prayers. He had committed suicide several years before. His voice was very clear. I was overjoyed that he was not in hell!! Alleluia.

I had someone tell me my dad suffered enough on earth with his dementia. I had 30 consecutive Masses offered for my dad and still pray for him. I feel every one is talked about as if they all went to heaven. If we hold that thought, who will be praying for the Holy Souls. We need to continue praying for them. Thank you for this interview.

Very true. I look at it like this. If the person is in Heaven, good. God can and will use the masses for someone else who needs them. If the person is in Hell (sad), God will and can use the masses for someone else. If the person is in Purgatory, then the masses will help them. Masses, rosaries, prayers are never wasted.

I have always thought the same way…why do we sort of romanticize death by simply saying he is now free from pain. In my mind, if he did not live a good life or needs purgation, fires in purgatory is beyond physically painful like pain he experienced on earth. For close friends, i remind them to pray even harder for them now that they are dead. We keep praying for them. No prayer is ever wasted.

Gregorian Masses are thirty Masses offered on thirty consecutive days for the same deceased person, in order to obtain the deliverance of that soul from purgatory through the dispensation of God's infinite mercy. I ordered them for my Mother and Father. God bless us all+

Every month I have to have a medical procedure were I am hooked up to an IV for 2 hours. Early on I decided that I would take that time to pray rosaries and divine mercy chaplets for the holy souls in purgatory. Occasionally I will receive a recognition of this, from those souls that have been liberated. Usually it is just a feeling of overwhelming joy and comfort, but a few times it was something more such as if those souls were expressing their thanksgiving for the time I spent in remembrance of them.

I was recovering from an operation in 2020, somehow I discovered the performer Jan Hooks, she suffered greatly from cancer, died at 57, for some reason I felt called to pray for her, I have done so for many months, I do know she was kind and gracious to others, her mother died from cancer at 62, they were very close and are buried next to each other -- I suffered from colon cancer and I have great empathy for anyone facing cancer

This is real. At a young age, I have this devotion of praying for the forgotten souls in purgatory. One day there was an unfortunate fire tragedy in a place near our community, and the remains of a grandfather and grandchild were found hugging each other as they were trapped in the fire. The thought of it made it so painful I offered the Rosary for them. I also used to be seeing some spirits passing by our just about closing the light at night and I was really scared. I asked the lost souls to please do not show themselves to me but I will be praying for them fervently. I offered Rosaries for them. And one night in my dream, I saw an empty unfinished house / mansion (it was huge) and the vision is in green. (like when you wear a pair of green sunglasses) I was feeling so scared yet so peaceful and was waiting for something to appear in front of me but I was just hearing gentle voices of "thank you" nonstop. Though my fear was there, I also was smiling and felt relieved because I remember that it could be the souls I have prayed for found refreshment from my prayers. Thank God I didn't see the flames in purgatory. The dream was an eyeopener for me.

Alot of broken homes in this age and most recently I realised more and more homes are thrown into chaos where one couple opts to work in another location or country. These days it's normal not to have the presence of a parent in the home due to career and these has a toll on the kids born into these Homes. The 25th anniversary of my favorite singer Michael Hutchence was on the 22 of November. When I became Catholic a couple of years after he died I started lighting a candle and praying for him in church on his birthday 22 January and the anniversary of his death. I haven't got to go yet this year, because I came down with bad cold. I am going as soon as I get better. I am offering my suffering for him and others in Purgatory. He committed suicide, but sadly it was because of a TBI ( traumatic brain injury) he suffered in 1992. He wasn't the same after that. Those around him said before that he was a kind person. I pray God had mercy on his soul too. 🙏

Fyi Does our Lord Jesus ever visit Purgatory? How about our Blessed Mother and the angels? According to Maria Simma, no soul has told her that Jesus goes to Purgatory. However, it is the Mother of God who comes. The guardian angels of each soul are there, and also St. Michael, to give comfort. However, no saints in heaven go there.

My husband received an epic dream about his brother in purgatory, out of the blue. But looking back, it came at a time of renewed faith in our family. His brother was in sackcloth, with ashes on his head and asked for prayers. My husband was looking down on him and his brother was in a cloudlike area, foggy. From Ireland. Just happened to click on your website now. I was looking at a couple of interviews with Richard Burton from the mid 70s on Friday night last. I was touched by his life story and his struggles with alcohol etc. His Mam died when he was 2yrs. after giving birth to her 13th child who lived. I got a real strong inspiration from Jesus to offer my Mass up for Richard which I did yesterday. Feast of Christ the King. We are all so loved by God. It's very important we pray every day for the forgotten souls. Lord have mercy on them all.🙏☘️

Oh my Gooooodness! I had the same thing happen when I discovered Get Us Out of Here (a book of Maria Simma interview) back in the early 2000’s and started praying for the holy souls-dreams, dreams, and more dreams. Some were of famous people some were people I once knew. I think it’s Maria who also told us how much the Holy Souls appreciate holy water sprinkled on their behalf, for it both quenches and squelches giving them much relief. Thanks for this reminder-so grateful for your own interview with this pro-life speaker. Be at peace. Even if you do not have family members right now, that you know they can pray for you, if you make the effort to pray, for other souls that have no one to pray for them, God will grant you that grace when you die it’s really true, that we reap what we sow.

I've prayed for Patty Duke. She died around the time Mother Angelica did, and i remember a lot of people offering up prayers and masses for Mother Angelica, and that's great! She was a wonderful lady, and I'm happy for her there. But i remember thinking everyone is praying for Mother Angelica, but how many are praying for Patty Duke? Because she had a very hard life and tried to commit suicide multiple times and had depression. I pray both Mother Angelica and Anna Marie 'Patty' Duke are up in Heaven with Jesus. 🙏🙏❤❤

When I dreamed of my late mother which was very devout. I had two separate dreams one of Our Lady of Guadalupe, but it was like beautiful image on a wall and I walked into a beautiful courtyard with flowers 💐 everywhere. My mom came and sat down with me and my husband and toasted champagne 🍾 with us. My mother was from California and would drink wine 🍷 🥂, but in the dream we toast champagne. I don't remember any words spoken just gestures. The other dream was Our Lady of Sorrows and I saw a glimpse of my mother there too and I was being thanked for my suffering and told I would be watched over and protected. I woke up with astonishment from both of these dreams not knowing what to think.

Me and Mom kept having dream about Gran after she passes. She was hot and thirsty and suffering and even angry. I prayed for her once and offered suffering for her soul and in the middle of the night, after praying for her, I was woke from sleep by someone constantly tapping on my shoulder. Over and over again I got this tapping as if to say, keep praying!". I had a Mass said for her, and the same week my mom had a new dream about Gran and she was smiling, happy and she was bringing us gifts.

Thank you for this video, since I converted to catholic the Holy Spirit lead me to pray for the souls in purgatory. Lately I've been struggling because I saw 4 people that had been canonized as a saint was still in purgatory. I saw their agony while people ask for their intercession. I was afraid to pray for them, afraid I was wrong. But I heard while praying my guardian angel said "It's never be wrong to pray for someone." And your video confirmed it, thank you God bless you.

Not all dreams are from God. We have to discern prayerfully because a person cannot be canonized unless there are at least two confirmed miracles through his/her intercession and a soul cannot intercede from heaven unless God permits it. Maybe the devil wants you to doubt the Bride of Christ, which is the Church. God bless.

Near David Bowie's death, I dreamt that he fell down stairs leading into a basement. He was seated on the floor with his arms and legs broken in great pain. I called out to Jesus to help him in the dream. He is certainly in purgatory. His real name is David Robert Jones. Please pray for him.

My Mom must have prayed for the holy souls often in her lifetime. She never needed an alarm clock but just relied on the souls to wake her at any time she asked them. They were her most reliable friends, never letting her down.

I read that if a Mass is offered for someone who does not need it - they can still benefit from it and according to St. Thomas Aquinas it is called “accidental glory” and that the soul can get an increase in their intimacy with God and their intercessory power - so ALWAYS pray for the Holy Souls!!

It's important that we pray for the Souls in Purgatory. I offer masses daily for the souls of my parents and I truly believe that if they don't need these masses anymore, these mass offerings will be allocated to other needy souls.

I pray for those in lowest level purgatory, those abandoned in purgatory, the souls of priests and religious and those who have committed suicide in purgatory. Please May I ask all Catholics to pray for earth bound souls who are “trapped” here after death. I pray for them that they would know that Jesus died on the cross for them, for them to hope and trust in His Mercy and cover them in The Precious Blood of Jesus and entrust them to The Immaculate Heart of Mary 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️

I think it is very sad, when people are sad, that others are saved, we should be happy that any person no matter who it was, was saved from hell. It should be something that we were rejoice in, whereas, if we rejoice in people going to hell then we should really look deep inside and wonder what’s wrong with our hearts? And also, if we show no other interest in the salvation of others, then what are we doing?

I have found Funeral Mass Cards of unknown people, thought of relatives that I had heard mentioned but they had passed long before my birth, dreamt of relatives, relatives that I just never met, or relatives that I just thought of out of the blue and just knew that they needed Masses said for themselves. Wow, that's actually unbelievable as I, as Patricia do pray for Marilyn monroe, I didnt have a dream but inner urge for many years and i remember thinking not to tell anyone as feared people will think I lost my mind. When I was a Catholic school teacher, I would take November for my class Mass. I would give papers to every student and ask them to write the names of their loved ones who died. There would be a book of hundreds of pages with these names. My class would do the readings and the priest would pray for those would.

I too have felt that I have been asked to pray for souls of famous people in purgatory…I haven’t been that consistent but this motivates me to pray daily for them especially the Saint Gertrude chaplet …Over the past couple of years As I more consistently prayed the Rosary and had a deeper conversion, I constantly have had thoughts about people in Hollywood and how far away they are from God..and have prayed for their conversion.

St. Therese of Liseaux (Little Flower) said God gives the soul what the soul feels he/she deserves. In other words, we must Trust God implicitly because a strong trust in Him causes Him to act very generously towards the soul and that trust may be sufficient to “cancel out” any Purgatory the soul deserved. We offend God greatly, according to Therese, for believing we will automatically go there, i.e., Purgatory. She said that God gives the souls on earth sufficient grace to enter Heaven at death.

I think a lot of souls are in there. Our Lady of Fatima mentioned a girl would be there till the end of time! Also, she told Francisco he would have to pray many rosaries, so I do think it’s right to be concerned we may be there too. I had a dream recently that a Monk told me my mother had just been released from Purgatory. She went to Mass every day but I do remember she had a problem forgiving a half sister, so was always worried about her. So glad a young person like you prays for them as even our priests seem reluctant to say much. I once heard that even some of the saints like Padre Pio spend a short time there. If true, we all better get our life on track.

The Christmas novena to infant Jesus was very powerful. I received instant miracle on day 25th when my son and husband reconciled. It was almost an impossible reconciliation but Infant Jesus made it happen. I have a feeling that because I pray to holy soul. I remember seeing alot of things that couldn’t be explained when I was young, as I was older and heard stories of my childhood from others i later realized what I had seen, skipping forward, I was brought up in a very religious family, and one day I saw a beautiful picture of Marilyn Monroe on a friends wall, I’d seen her before but never really paid attention, so I began to see her everywhere, and in my heart God told me, once you start seeing someone or even having dreams or memories of them, you’re supposed to pray for them, alive or dead, so very young I learned about the poor souls of purgatory and thought of her, and learned about how God releases poor souls around Christmas from purgatory, so long story short I began to read about Marilyn Monroe, watch her movies and one day just picked up a rosary and started praying for her, that was when I was 17, im 40 now, still pray for her, the people of Hollywood because I agree that they spend their lives entertaining us and making us happy through their art, then get used up and spit out by people.. it’s very sad, but I’ve heard many different visionaries and one book in particular comes to mind called “Get us out of here” that mentions Marilyn Monroe, I hope she is in heaven by now, and if you read the book, it does say she finally made it to Jesus, and also along with her, Elvis Presley .. I’ve prayed for the poor souls for a very long time. Thank you for sharing this ❤ God bless

When I was in college in the 1970s, I went on a trip to the missions in California. When I got to the Basilica of Mt. Carmel and entered, I felt this heavy oppressive feeling like death was around me. I thought that the souls there needed prayer. I went home to San Gabriel, spoke to a priest, and asked that prayers be said. Years later when I went back to the Basilica, I no longer had that heavy oppressive feeling.
