The wither tree isn't even a threat other than send minions and sorta just stand there and stuff. Unless it (the wither tree) actually invaded the town, he remains featless and thus it isn't even a terrifying force as I expected it to be which sucks honestly :/

Can someone explain where to start for understanding the story of this channel? I've seen a few videos but never understood the context behind them.

Hyun's Dojo is a website where people can post their Animations (mostly stick figures with the occasional full body). The mods of the website can also choose to feature an Animations on this channel to get them more exposure. They usually put links to the Animatior's stuff in the description if you want to see more of their stuff. A collab is where a host advertises an idea, then other Animatiors submit their own Animations. The host then chooses which ones to use. Take the doors series as a good example.

To answer your question there isn’t necessarily continuity between each video, although in Hyun’s Dojo there are landmarks that every animator could use, each animator will usually create their own story with their own continuity. I myself have no idea what’s going on with the purge clan story.
