We unfortunately fell for this finely curated commercial video and took your advice to visit this hotel during our honeymoon last August. The hotel was in a really bad shape, with one building in ruins and closed ( the one you don't show here)! There were no elevators and the stairs smelled really bad! The members of the staff at the restaurants were young and completely unprofessional! The sea always had a red flag for jelly fish and was murky brown all the time! The restaurants and the hotel are really overpriced for the poor service they offer and the only thing they have going for them is the view! But the view can be enjoyed by anyone passing by, so there is no reason to mislead people to actually stay there! This is really not something you should be recommending if you really care for the tourists at all!! If you are not honest then you are just doing it for the sponsor's money and you are supposed to say that when posting on KZbin! If you think I am a liar just check their reviews on Tripadvisor!! Shame on you guys!

If our any of our videos are sponsored, we'll indicate that the video has paid content or mention it in the video. It is unfortunate that you had a bad experience during your trip. You should take this complain up to their management. Our experience back in January 2022 was all positive and we did enjoy our time there just as in the vlog.

Hullo there, I am a local Malaysian. Tanjung Rhu Resort is actually previously a good resort and Tanjung Rhu Beach is actually one of a good one . The resort currently faced with financial problems, impact of strict lockdown during covid. Maybe that is why the resort during your time in Langkawi is in deterioting condition. One thing you should know about Langkawi or any beach in Malaysia is that you need to be alert of what season at time you come to visit. Since Peninsular Malaysia impacted by both type of monsoon wind, this impacted sea current too. So sometimes you see brown murky water with bad visiblity , the other time water is crystal clear with white sand. Honestly, in this video , she already stated that this hotels is without lift.

Tanjung Rhu resort was a superb resort back in the 2000, clear blue water beach. However in 2014 I went for the honeymoon there . There was part of the hotel closed, reason is renovation in 2014, now 2023 still renovation??? It make sense now that it's facing a a financial issues, the status of 5 star resorts should be downgraded. As for the Beach, it will always be murky at any season, the previous strom trigger a mongoose mud near by the beach to enter the resorts. I will take decades for it to returned to the glory beach back again. The service is great still. But the price doesn't reflect the experience.
