I think my wife would love the shawl you’re wearing. Can you tell me the name of it?

Thank you so much for your very helpful and much needed video tutorials ❤. I certainly would not have been able to pull off this fingerless mitt without them. I just finished them !! Though I am still new to knitting, I am very pleased with the outcome. Keep up the great work as I look forward to any help that your tutorials offer. Be well! ❤❤❤

Have only my thumbs to do! Hopefully by end of weekend…

This is a great pattern. I’m almost done with (not a fan of) the thumbs. I’m all thumbs and getting holes.😅

Great pattern Thank you I used to have a pair with a flap on the top that you could flip over your fingers --- that would be a cool addition--- any chance ?

Something I'll consider for a tutorial. Thanks for the suggestion!

Love the look of the rib on these mitts. Question when you were picking up stitches it looked like sometimes you picked up one leg. Then you would pick up two. Could you please clarify? Thanks.
@PurlTogether Жыл бұрын
It's certainly not an exact science. Whether I pick up one or both legs will largely depend upon the angle of the stitch related to the new direction of knitting. I might only pick up one, if the new direction is parallel and won't have too much stress. Maybe two legs if the new knitting is perpendicular. Does that make sense?

Couldn’t see much as it was off camera most of the time. I love your tutorials so if you’ve done this before on a different video, could you let me know where I can I find it? Thanks a bunch. I know it’s probably very hard to see what you’re doing thru a camera. I don’t mean to be negative. Any help is greatly appreciated

Sorry about that, yes, I understand. Was there a specific part you're unsure of when you compare the video to the pattern? I'm happy to answer any questions you may have.

@@PurlTogether hi, yes I was wanting to see how you picked up the extra stitches for the thumb base. Other than that it was fine as I could understand the rest of the pattern. Thank you so much for responding back to me.

This is the bind off I like to use on my toe up socks. I have a question though ... When you knit the 2 stitches together you go thru the back loop. When you purl the 2 stitches together you don't make any "thru the back loop" adjustment. I have never seen any comment on this. Why is a regular purl made? Could I refine the stitch any?
@PurlTogether Жыл бұрын
Knitting the stitches together through the back loop affects the way they lie when the decrease is complete. Purling two stitches together already creates a nice flat stitch, when completed.

Can these mitts be done on 9 inch circulars
@PurlTogether Жыл бұрын
Depending upon the amount of stitches you cast on and your gauge, yes.

Thanks for this wonderful and easy pattern. Finished mine up fairly quickly but used a tubular cast on and a sewn bind off. The only down side is that everyone in my family now wants one, so 3 down and 4 to go. Hope you had a great time on your trip, looking forward to the next video. ☺
