शिशिर कृष्ण जी आपने बहुत पुराने फिल्मी कलाकारों के इंटरव्यू लिए और दिखाए अन्यथा ये फिल्मी कलाकार गुमनामी के अंधेरों में खो जाते । ये सभी कितने जबरदस्त कलाकार थे इनकी एक्टिंग दमदार् होती थी ये फिल्मों के किरदारों को बड़ी मेहनत करनी पड़ती थी फिल्म निर्देशक ,संगीतकार ,सभी अच्छी फिल्मे बनाने के लिए बहुत मेहनत करते थे । इसलिए आज भी उन फिल्मों को देखने का मन बार बार करता है । पूर्णिमा ने अनिल चैटर्जी,तनूजा, डेविड, अभिनीत सस्पेंस फिल्म सनाटा में काम किया था जो 1964 से 1966 के बीच रिलीज़ हुई थी । गीत गुलजार जी के थे l संगीतकार थे हेमंत कुमार डायरेक्टर थे एम सब्बरवाल । ये फिल्म अपने समय में बहुत हिट फिल्म साबित हुई फिल्म के गाने भी बेहतरीन थे । क्या पूर्णिमा ने आपसे इस फिल्म क़ी चर्चा अपने इंटरव्यू के दौरान नहीं की जबकि इस फिल्म मे उनका साइड रोल बहुत अहम था । ये फिल्म आज न तो यू tube पर है न ही इस फिल्म के कोई video गाने ही हैँ, केवल इसके ऑडियो गाने ही हैँ । आप तनूजा या गुलजार जी से जब इंटरव्यू करें तो उनसे इस फिल्म का जिक्र जरूर करें और ये फिल्म कैसे उपलबध हो पायेगी वे इसके बारे में जरूर जानकारी देंगे । इतना प्रयास जरूर कीजियेगा। अब तक जो भी आपने अपने दर्शकों तक फिल्मी कलाकारों क़ी ज़िंदगी क़ी कहानियों को पहुंचाया वो बहुत ही सराहनीय प्रयास था आपका और आपके इस कार्य का मै तहे दिल से आपका शुक्रिया करता हूँ । ( सुखबीर सिंह छत्तीसगढ़ से )

Keep theses clips coming, ShishirJi. I so much enjoy them. They take us back to the Golden Era of Indian Cinema. Otherwise, without these tidbits, many from that period would be totally forgotten. I immediately recognized PurnimaJi from her photos. I haven't seen many films of her but I do remember her from some of the songs filmed on her. She had always struck as a gentle and soulful actress. Not sure if she had ever played a vamp but I am equally certain that she would have carried off those roles just as well. I don't know anything about her (famous) grandson but her South Indian heritage and her link to the Bhatt family surely came as a big surprise. From reading your two books apparently it was quite common in the 1940s and 1950s for folks in the show business to marry those associated with films. This might have been partly because at that time, film line wasn't thought to be a reputable career, and those from the film world had not only greater acceptance of each other but they also had a preference. Together, many of them collaborated, created and/or starred in their films.

Thanks a lot again Shishir Krishna Sharmaji , for the precious piece of information on one of the film celebrities of yore, departed Poornima alias Mehr Bano Shiba, who was good-looking and soft spoken on screen. I remember her for Manoj Kumar-Saira Bano starrer Balidan(71) wherein she played mother to Manoj Kumarji, thereafter she was seen in 'Mera Gaon Mera Desh' playing a mentally upset woman. You take pains to keep your followers abreast of the legends' lives including those who are no more. Really Great!
