Purple brand mattress protector and sheet set review Pt II

UPDATE: A year ago we had problems with one of our new kittens deciding that the down duvet was a great place to pee. We decided to err on the side of caution and actually pour some water on the cover just to see. No water penetrated through our little puddle experiment and the cover has been holding out great since the date of this review. The kitten has been broken of the litter issues :)

So, now I'm over here. As we age we all get very accustomed to needing a little bit of 'warm' under our blankets, etc. I'm really beginning to wonder exactly what material is utilized to keep it very cool. 😎 Yeah. Seriously. Do you happen to know?

Well, they call it a hyper elastic polymer. I speculate that the coolness is really from the fact that the grid allows for a greater airflow combined with the coils underneath VS solid memory foam. That being said I have noted that the bed sleeps a bit warmer with the mattress protector than without.

I got a deal so I got the protector and the sheets, are they good combined or should I use the sheets only?

They are good combined. Actually designed to work together. I like the idea of protecting my mattress from sweat, skin oils, etc that the sheets can't always block so I use the protector. If they had a more stretchy completely breathable protector I would use it, I prefer cotton but other than the slight temperature difference the feeling is negligible. Let me know what you think about it.

@@PracticalWhimsy54 just put the protector and sheets in, I o ky gave it ab hour to air out, but the dog already stained the mattress so I didn't want to wait any longer, thanks for the videos

Update: I did receive the second set of twin xl sheets. Ironically it says 2 pillow cases on the box and only one pillowcase was in the package. Tempted to ask for another pillowcase but since they were free. I will refrain!
