It never ceases to amaze me how rude people can be! Jaclyn says in the beginning of the video that this is a "fun, glittery smokey eye/going out look", not for everyone. She does plenty of neutral looks, and she was just trying to do something different! If you want to watch someone who is bare-faced, and who wears natural, low-coverage makeup, then watch elsewhere! Can you girls imagine if someone insulted you for not wearing ENOUGH makeup, and told you that you could really use some?! Same thing! If you wouldn't wear your makeup like this, then don't! Just appreciate it for what it is!

I agree! I looooove to wear a lot of makeup because IT'S fun and I feel comfy with it. I've never heard someone tell me that I wear too much make up, the only thing i've heard is "wow, I wish I could do smokey eyes like you!".. It's not wrong to wear "too much" make up, and it's not wrong to wear low-coverage makeup either.... I love to watch Jaclyns videos, because she gives me inspiration and she have green eyes like me, so I can use the same colors as her and so on :D

People never cease to amaze me with how rude they can be. Saying things like "your face is too yellow" or "you wear too much makeup". Well personally I think this makeup tutorial is AMAZEBALLS. I couldn't pull it off, but that doesn't keep my from appreciating it. The thing I think is interesting is if Jaclyn didn't wear a yellow-based foundation, it wouldn't match her neck and then people would complain about that saying "your neck doesn't even match your face". If Jaclyn didn't put on "enough" makeup, people would manage to complain about that maybe saying something like "this isn't even really a tutorial, all you did was put on a little eyeshadow". I think my point Jaclyn is that you can't please everyone.. and yet, you're managing to do one hell of a job at it! There's always going to be naysayers but just know that I LOVE YOU and appreciate you, so never change :)

What is wrong with people? Why would you be watching a makeup tutorial if you don't even wear that much makeup? If I'm a food critique but dont like pizza, I'm not gonna go and judge a pizza restaurant. And if you don't like how much makeup she wears, it doesn't mean you have to wear that much makeup, she is showing you how to get "the look" I mean serious people, use common sense. No one is telling you that you should wear more makeup, it's just rude. And besides lots of people wear lots of makeup, different things make different people feel beautiful. Jaclyn Hill is beautiful, talented and inspiring. She is the only reason I watch KZbin anymore. So anyone with rude comments, your not wanted here so goodbye. Watchin' old Jaclyn videos in the middle of the night. I want to try something similar to this with my Morphe plum palette, *fingers crossed*. I want to make this work, but I have smaller eyelids, and a lot of space between my crease and my eyebrows. Not exactly hooded eyes- I don't know what they are. I haven't been able to master this technique that has a pop of shimmer in the middle of the lid. I hope I can make it work, I love the purples. 💜

Jessica Hill try using smaller sized brushes, detail brushes may work better if you have smaller eyes 😉

Hey Jaclyn! I'd love to see a video of your absolute MUST HAVE makeup products! Things that you re purchase over the years regardless of how "out of date" people might think of. Eyeshadows, lippies, blush, highlighters, bronzers, foundations, whatever you swear by that you always must have!(: I don't really purchase products influenced by gurus, but when you or Nicole Gurriero recommend products that I know I can go out and get, I purchase them(: and I always absolutely LOVE them!!
