I'd love to see more vid's where you oil the lane by hand, but actually show the process thoroughly. I own a small center that oils by hand and i'd love to know the optimal way to do it.

Something’s kinda buggin me. Why did the PBA ban urethane bowling balls?
@colddekstar11 ай бұрын
Urethane balls were registering a hardness, on average, 5 points below the legal minimum after extended use The softer the ball, the earlier the hook, they began to do things they weren't supposed to do as registered So the limit was increased to 78, Urethane balls toe the line close to the old limit of 73, essentially banning all Urethane balls Though Storm just came out with a new Urethane ball at 78 hardness that, with a stronger core, reacts very similarly to a Pitch Black

String pin bowling… uh oh. Some ppl in the comments are either saying “string pins won’t make a difference”. To those people: don’t come crawling back to the USBC begging for free fall pins to come back when you start to miss the sloppy strikes you could make with free falling pins. The ONLY people who support string pin are the lower averaged “pros” (bad amateurs in other words) who want to keep up with the much more talented competition. String pins are cancer. I cannot believe people support it. Like, what has this sport come to
@dysfunctionaldave11 ай бұрын
I love how you're trying to categorise yourself in with the 'real' pros by that. So, in your words, if you miss sloppy strikes from bad shots you're... a good player? Something really doesn't compute here. Wouldn't a more skilled player want to be rewarded for throwing good shots, not carrying poor ones? String pins are balanced in terms of carry vs free fall. You lose a few sloppy hits, you gain a few late 10 pin pulls. Some spares can be harder due to less pin action, but that's balanced by strings sometimes coming in to pull pins down. Is it ideal? Absolutely not, I'd be happier if freefall was the only type of bowling. Is it the doomsday of bowling? Absolutely not, it's still bowling- and given it's vastly cheaper to maintain, the quicker you accept that it's going to become more normal as the years go on the better. It's not a question of supporting string pins, it's a case of accepting the inevitable and moving with it.
@forsalt983111 ай бұрын
@@dysfunctionaldave i don't think you replied to the correct comment because about 90% of what you said about my comment is like, not true haha. i'll dumb it down for you, and any other string pin riders out there: free fall pins allow for more fluid physics with pin/ball action. its just simple physics, period. a 5 pin isn't gonna roll into a standing 10 pin after throwing a ball that carried too far (strictly talking about first balls for now). the amount of strikes bowled, while not by much, will LITERALLY decrease. if there wasn't going to be such a big difference between free fall/string, then why is the USBC considering a SECOND sanctioned sport dedicated to string pin, hm? So, this goes back to what I said in my first comment: string pins = INCONSISTENT pin action, period. it will disrupt players. it will disrupt ball choice. it will disrupt so much more. and if the SOLE reason we are moving to string pin is because of cost/time? wow, i'm ashamed to be a traveling competitor. (also, i believe you also shot down my self claim to be a "pro", despite me never saying i'm a pro. so, if you're from the NY/MA area (odds are slim), I openly suggest sending me an email for some sort of roll off. i don't like being told i'm bad at the game when the amount of money I've won bowling can pay for two of your parent's houses. if you're not from that area, I travel every spring, from the east coast and make my way to Vegas. I will gladly stop by your local FREE FALL center and embarrass you in front of everyone in the alley. yes I'm cocky, yes I can back it up, yes I've been on TV more times than you can count on 2 hands)
