⁠look at the screen at 46:23 The island at the top center is what I’m referring to. (With the square empty space.) Neither of the 2 green square tiles revealed had a coastal corner to fit that spot. I don’t know what the first 4 tiles had, but I’m figuring they would not be the right shape either.

Ah, gotcha. There is a tile like that. You can see one fourth up from the bottom on the left side. Two full sides of land and two half water half land. Would fill that hole perfectly.

Have you tried a game called, Walking in Burano? It’s a small simple game like this, plays 1-4 and I so love just playing it solo! ( you only have about 9 rounds of play and it’s about a 15-20 minute game in solo.)

I think this game needs a center tile, with a coastal corner, because there is no way for you to fill the space on that top center island. ( There was only 2 center tiles shown and they were solid land.

Sorry, I don't understand. There were four starting tiles, and all of them could have had things placed next to them depending on how I placed out other things. Also, each of those four center tiles is double sided and you are free to place them out in any arrangement you choose at the start, also using either side of each tile.
