Another great video, Jesse. I’ve always wanted to have a clam marathon day which would result in lawfully harvesting one clam shy of an entire gross. The morning would begin with 15 Siliqua patula along the north jetty below Yaquina State Park. Next, 20 clams in aggregate under the bridge. Then, shoot up river and grab your three dozen eastern soft shells. Finally, mosey on up to Siletz Bay for your 72 purple varnish, thus totaling 143 clams.

I appreciate the video, as someone who doesn't fish and hasn't grown up with these skills. I was disappointed the camera cuts off the view of actually finding the clam in the mud.

If there was no limit there would be none for you and I to dig and eat. If they were overly invasive the limit would be higher or no limit. This is how we keep them in check so we can continue to enjoy something that is not sposta be hear.
