When my family and I would take vacations to the Alabama coast, one of the McDonald's in Mobile had that *exact* Ronald McDonald statue sitting in the position Jack is making on a bench right behind you as you ordered. We'd stop by there without fail so my parents and sister could tease me about it. Imagine my elation when they told me that it was gone a few years ago, as someone who finds clowns genuinely unsettling.

the 4 walking pichu's are from the start of a pokemon movie, theres like this mini-movie, Pikachu and his friends are left on a skyscraper in Big City by their trainers, who go off to prepare an unknown surprise for the Pokémon. Pikachu meets the Pichu Brothers, saving the younger one from falling off an opposite building.

it's a representation of the fighting spirit. those metal singers are how those kids feel like as they play Pokemon Kurupa. this is probably the continuation of a pokemon rivalry on their nintendo switch and card decks and opinion polls at school "Who's your Starter" it's always going to be the relevant starters for the first game they started playing at the same time together, that being the launch date of that pokemon title. but you know what the amount of time doesn't matter if you've been playing that version of pokemon for a while, then you meet someone who is playing the other so you battle, and you know what if there's a difference in power then you will train and there will be back and forth with the rematches where they're both looking stuff up and learning about EV levels and IVs and going hard to beat each other and then just in the background building the skills to battle with pokemon on the world stage against the pros. sometimes its good to take all that passion and simplify it, sure, Pokemon Kurupa is a skillshot game so there is more to it than launching and flipping the tokens, maybe there's not. we don't know that, but Diamond and Pearl certainly do. the hardcore battle training is happening in S/V but the games on their DS were just for fun and the grinding was pure levels and maybe application of internet knowledge due to how prolific knowledge of high level pokemon battles is and people who put in the work love to talk about it, the Pokemon Fanclub in Red and Blue actually sets up that attitude perfectly with their slogan IF SOMEONE BRAGS, BRAG RIGHT BACK! the idea that Kurupa is being used to settle today's page in their longstanding pokemon rivalry and the passion they put into thinking about their deck and training pokemon and all that intellectual stuff goes out the window, its pure skill so here is all of my passion being channeled through my hands, and my voice will make the pog slammer that is being shot out of my pokeball not only knock your slammer out of the way but knock one or more of the slammers we have previously placed off of the final elevated platform that comes with the 2 player starter set. the final skillshot was a critical MISS and opens up the chance for a turnaround victory for the opponent and those emotions are being expressed through song. you ever lose a game you've never played before against someone who brings it with them "today we're battling with this!" you have no idea how much they practiced beforehand but the rematch in Pokemon Kurupa where it just gets added to the rotation where they play it instead of flipping coins for the pokemon card game in which they are also rivals. Pokemon has always been a game about friendship in the real world with other people, and their pokemon.
