When he went through the portal to the overword, he took off his unique skin to integrate himself with the hunters coming through the portal. Since they were wearing iron armor, he changed his items tool. Genius.

(THIS IS A THEORY) 27:13 Basically what happened is that when dream shot that last arrow it did in fact hit and kill the dragon, the problem is exactly when that happened the hunters started the dragon respawn ritual. Both of those actions from dream killing the dragon with that arrow and them activating the dragon respawn ritual happened in the same "Server tick". a server tick is like a heartbeat, the server beats at a fixed rate of 20 ticks per second, so one tick every 0.05 seconds. Since it happened in the same tick, the server overwrites Dream killing the dragon, and activates the respawn ritual instead, therefore not allowing the dream to get the achievement to win the manhunt. TLDR: The server couldn't process both events of the dream killing the dragon and them activating the respawn ritual which caused the server to skip the dragon death animation and not give Dream the "Free the End" achievement that he needed to win.

When you place 4 end crystals in the fountain it revives the ender dragon, including all the crystals. What dream could’ve done is break one of the fountain crystals and it would’ve stopped the entire process. Edit: The last part works on bedrock, idk about Java but you can test it out

Well since it was for the first time that sort of thing happened in manhunt he(dream) was shocked as well as confused. So yeah he can do this in the upcoming manhunts if the hunters do it again.

its a bug that happened accidently. it is only able if you get the ender dragon but this time the ender dragon was revived even though it was not dead and it is the reason why dream cannot get the achievement and dream loses

Ok Dream totally won. Manhunt rules say that the speedrunner has to beat the dragon and not die. Dream did so. Prob a glitch that he didn't get Free the End, but in my opinion, Dream won. Maybe some think that's not true, but I think he did win against 5 hunters

Agreed, even the wiki mentions there is a bug that allows the dragon to be re-summoned before its' death. The hunters knew this and exploited it. minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Ender_Dragon#Re-summoning

Purplematter: This is some Minecraft survival stuff right here. Is he gonna boat off? Dream: Well yes, but actually no. Also, to explain the ending, that wasn't supposed to happen. Awesamdude had the idea of putting end crystals in the center to heal the dragon, but they put them in the formation that causes the dragon to respawn. It was a glitch that led to the dragon respawning before it actually died. They talk about it in the Extra Scenes video.

My god that boat craft mid air is genuinely worthy of all my skill in minecraft combined. I wouldnt be able to do this even if I could. On bedrock edition you need 5 wood and a wooden shovel so theres no chance I would do it. Even if I could it would take me hours to even craft the boat let alone mlg aswell. I can barely mlg boat anyway whaaaaa

27:07 I can explain, its a rare occasion called End Again, where suddently the dragon restarts his health and the towers are fixed. Is an advancement by the way.

Not a rare occasion, more so a player-activated occasion, in which a player must place 4 end crystals on the central pieces of each side to the bedrock fountain. These crystals then trigger the event which some may call the "Respawn Ritual" or the "Dragon Revival", thus resurrecting the Ender Dragon. The advancement obtained for it is in fact called "The End... Again?", while the advancement for killing the Ender Dragon is "Free The End". If Dream were to manage getting that final shot on the dragon, he could've gotten Free The End, yet the hunters initiated the resurrection, which on the server's side of things, deleted the Free The End advancement for Dream. But even if Dream didn't miss the shot, the dragon would most likely still get revived as it would've been dead for at least a second or so.

Minecraft skins have multiple layers. Mine wears a jacket on the 2nd layer, for example. Dream made an antfrost skin on one layer, so enabling/disabling a layer would reveal a disguise.

It is not physically possible to craft a boat that fast. It would require a seemingly infinite amount of luck for the lag to extend his crafting table time, AND for him to craft that fast, AND to hit the landing. Still, very entertaining to watch.

So basically, Dream actually did win. He defenitely killed the dragon at the end, but obv the dragon got resurrected because it died which means that he should´ve won. BUT, he somehow didnt get the achievment and the reason why is because once you kill the dragon, there is an animation of the dragon dying, however, the achievement comes a couple of seconds late after the dragon is killed, therefore making the hunters have enough time to ¨respawn¨ the ender dragon before Dream gets the achievement. In another video, Dream managed to kill the dragon a second after getting killed himself, and after he dies, he got the achievement. So i think that its not about getting the achievement in order to win, its about killing the dragon because Dream defenitely did which makes me think that he defenitely shouldve won. PurpleMatter, please see this.

18:20 Dream switch skin into Antfrost, and he make sure that he wouldn't look at Antfrost face to face, bcoz if you're (or me) in Hunter's position you'll probably look at the compass too before running on a specific direction while in pursuit (= distracted). then Dream crouched so they wouldn't notice his IGN...
