Pursuit Boats - not all they are cracked up to be (fuel tank replacement part 1)

What model sending unit did you use for this tank?

I am in middle of putting a 111Gal. Poly tank in my 24.7

I just purchased a 1999 2470 Pursuit. I bought a Pursuit because I live on the treasure coast this is they are built, guess what. I have a fuel leak, discovered it yesterday. I am afraid to tear into it, fearing what I will find. I had a Dusky that the same lack if any of quality control or customer service, once it is sold, they are not liable for poor craftsmanship. They get away with. Like my Dusky big name doesn’t mean craftsmanship or quality.

Look for the next post coming up, it gets bad. These boats are total trash. 3 bulkheads below that are not even fully glassed and at least 1 of those is tied into the stringers with no glass between allowing the rot to get to the stringer. Absolute garbage.

Pursuits are way overrated, the new ones are falling apart left and right. However any boat that has a metal tank will only last roughly 20 years. doesnt matter what manufacturer it is. Luckily these are easy to replace compared to the contenders.
