Why is this individual more important than the remainder of society? Take this person into custody and if they harm themselves push the car to the side and let people move on with their lives! We cater too much to the individual and especially when they are criminals. Why does the law abiding citizen have to put their life on hold for people who don't care about others?

I’ve been saying it for a while now. CHP needs a front loader with a grabber thumb. They can move these vehicles to a safe location leaving public highways open for use. Also can use the loader at side shows where offending vehicles can be disabled on location before any high speed chases and more risk to public can occur.

This is utterly ridiculous. Lives may have been lost because the traffic prevented someone from reaching the emergency room on time. Some people may have lost their jobs or business contracts due to this. Why can one person hold an entire society to ransom? And why are there so many police? 50-60 Police cars because of a single person?! 😂 Freeways shouldn’t be closed for any reason longer than 5 minutes. Take lots of photos with markings, move involved vehicles a side and dedicate a few Police Officers to regulate the traffic around without slowing down to take a peek. This is how is done in the countries where officials care about their citizens.
