If you´re interested, here is the different angle of TVI from Tesla dashcam kzbin.info/www/bejne/oHKWeaWZerOZgqMsi=kOzeLoKHavb6hrC4 That cable barrier blocked the Tundra from flying into oncoming traffic, that could´ve ended badly ... That´s why I always say, PIT them from the right side of the vehicle, if it´s possible

@NST- I saw this video on another channel but they did not include everything you did. Yours is by far a better video. As a retired nurse and occasionally a 3rd rider on an ambulance, I’m not happy about the EMS that responded. Volunteer or paid, they need to move it. One should have been grabbing equipment while the other assesses the patient and for Pete’s sake pick up the speed. I hope he survives and learns a valuable lesson. Thank you NST and ASP. Stay safe.

I’m disgusted by the lack of professionalism and respect for life. I’m not a medical professional but I know the board and collar should have come out with the EMS responders. They clearly were in no hurry to help this individual, especially since they improperly placed the collar on-2 man job! I don’t care what crime someone has or hasn’t committed, respect for life is paramount. These officers and responders need remediation and should NOT be paid during the process.

That tow truck driver is great. We lost a transmission in arkadelphia and he picked my family up less than 5 min after the call on a Saturday afternoon. Seemed like the kind of guy who'd be going out of his way to help whoever needed it (including slow EMTs), paid or not.

As a former paramedic, it's my opinion there should be an investigation into the training office and recurring training for these 2 individuals, if not all EMTs (at all levels) within the same organization. 1) Lack of urgency and foresight. 2) Backboard should have been brought immediately. 3) Primary assessment failure. Baseline pulse and respirations. 4) Abbreviated secondary assessment wasn't done. While a getting a BP is impossible here due to noise, knowing there is a radial pulse and quality gives you an idea. 5) Abbreviated assmt. cont.: Nobody looked for injuries on legs, back, hips, shoulders, etc. This takes about 15 seconds. 6) It takes 2 people to properly fit a c-collar. One to apply traction and properly positions head/neck, the other to fit/apply collar. 7) No pupil assessment was completed. 8)Basal fracture check via ear/nose wasn't completed. 9)Not enough questions were asked of the officer about mechanism of injury. While I get this is a semi-grab and run situation for a BLS unit (which this obviously was), too many critical items were missed. These are all items you want to do before moving an unconscious patient. Never deviating, as you likely will forget something. Once you begin moving, you can't treat for many things in a 2 man squad. Such as femur or hip fracture just as an example. As the driver is no longer there to assist. Also, baseline numbers and indicators can be reassessed in the ER to make quicker diagnosis. Such as intra cranial pressure, internal injuries, cardiac changes, etc. There are some other issues, but these are the most important red flags.

Also thinking that if the officer HAD to move him to cuff him, putting him on his back was not the best position to leave him in? Surely recovery position is First Aid 101? Maybe I'm wrong but I think I'm not. That backboard insertion was a bit suspect too! At any rate if the perp had stopped then all would be good, but I would hate for these people to respond to me or someone I know involved in a crash and treat them this way....

Excellent take on it from an EMT's point of view. In my professional opinion these first responders all need to go back to school and start over with their choice of a profession. They are slow and lazy in their professional demeanor. I've been the person on the ground waiting for professional help as this young car thief is. In 1975 I also did something stupid and ended up dealing with life threatening issues due to poor life choices. I took my off road motorcycle into a large sand quarry to play around. As I road around the edge of the quarry I had a ledge give way underneath me and I fell 70' and was paralyzed from the waist down. I've been a paraplegic for the last 50 years. Was fortunate that the fireman who found me was well versed as you were in his assessment and treatment. I had laid on the ground for two hours before an off duty Boston fireman, who was as a local family event and he heard my calls for help and decided to go for a walk in the woods to see who "was making all that noise." He took control of my assessment and once the local firemen and ambulance arrived then transferred me onto a spine board. Too this day I was stunned at the way he took control of my extraction, transfer onto the spine board and then into the ambulance. The local Firemen would have just tossed me in the back of the ambulance and hauled me off which at that time could have caused all sorts of additional paralysis. This off duty Boston Firefighter then rode with me to the hospital ER and then waited to be the one to assist my parents in breaking the news about my prognosis. He told me later that the week prior to my accident he had gone through a course on the use of the spine board by the Boston Fire Department. Since that day I've had some health problems but overall I've lived a very productive life rich in world travel, family and friends. I often think back how fortunate I was having such a professional be my first point of contact during a time where I easily could have died from both the Spinal Cord Injury as well as the associated kidney damage and pulmonary embolism. From the moment that first responder came into my life every person over the next 50 years of my life from the medical community has been there for me in a positive and constructive way. One last comment. I've worked in higher education over the last 45 years to help those who have suffered a traumatic SCI or limb amputation on how to retake control of their lives and move on and live a productive life despite the physical disability. Please be aware that there are heroes who walk and roll among us daily. They come in all shapes and sizes. They are usually not what you see coming out of Hollywood movies. They are men and women who put their needs ahead of their own and do their jobs daily professionally and with no wish for thanks or fanfare. I was fortunate to have had such a hero save my life and I will be eternally thankful.

My elderly relative faceplanted onto granite floor and had severe damage on her forehead, yet when I met the ambulance at the ER she was not on backboard, had no collar or other immobilizer. And they did not report that it was a fall. I had to request an x-ray which sadly showed several cervical fractures. it seemed like basic first aid was ignored.

Ok, I have to ask, are these Paramedic’s, EMT’s or what? You. Roll a patient that’s unconscious before you have a backboard ready? That means your twice as likely to injure the patient that’s already injured with a head injury???…. That breathing like that, it’s indicative of a head injury. I’m scratching my head too try and understand why you rolled him twice? Why take the risk? I’d love to know the outcome of this patient also. One last question for the Medics or EMT’s, we’re you not trained to stabilize head and neck on a head trauma? If so who held head stabilization while someone grabbed the board and C-collars? Yes, I’m being critical right now because of the times we live in. I assume he had major facial trauma, which indicates head and neck stabilization with long backboard. The more you roll a patient, if the spinal cord is even close to being transversed, you just paralyzed this patient. Nowadays Lawyers love these type cases, why take that risk? As soon as you rolled up you should of used C-spine stabilization, keep neck and body in-line while your partner gets the backboard. Did you do CMS checks? Like for Bibinski reflex, yes, this is a trauma alert, but that doesn’t mean you roll a patient over twice and take your time getting a cot, then a C-collar and then a backboard. I’ve never seen the likes of it, not even on my worst day ever!???????? Yes, I’m being critical, but there’s a good reason for it. The slight misalignment of the neck can paralyze patients!…. I’ll end with this, notice how his breathing/snoring changed after putting the C-collar on?

IMO they were waiting for the Engine Company to arrive before doing full spinal immobilization and loading him onto the stretcher because more hands equal less chance of injuring a member of the crew. Once he was in the back of the back of the booboo box I feel sure he was intubated and an IV started. The man is NOT SNORING! It sounds more like "death rattle." As someone approaches death, breathing patterns can change and secretions may collect in the throat. It is a part of the dying process. A death rattle can occur when a person who is dying is no longer able to swallow, cough, or otherwise clear saliva and mucus from the back of the throat, and because secretions in the respiratory tract may be increased. The sound varies. It may be a crackling, wet noise that is amplified as the person breathes. In other cases, it may sound like a soft moaning with each breath, or a very loud gurgling or SNORING.

It always amazes me how the true victims (the innocent people on the road) are forgotten while the comments are full of concern for the criminal. I never want to see anyone hurt but the number of families torn apart by dangerous driving must result in stricter attitudes and sentences. When it's your family that has been victim to this we shall see where your compassion is.

If you can hear an audible thud on the troopers mic, that must have been one heck of a thud. If he does survive, it will be because he hit the grass, not the road.

As much as I support law enforcement this is heartbreaking! Why did the Trooper handcuff the man!! He was out cold! The Trooper put his arms behind his back!! What if his arms were broke!! This trooper had no idea what he was doing! You do not move someone that's been seriously injured pursuit or no pursuit! There was no weapon to be seen and this man was out cold! If I were the man's family I would file a lawsuit in a heartbeat! The Trooper is not a paramedic!

A lot of times when someone is knocked out which is a head injury the "snoring" is caused by the relaxation of the tongue and it falling back blocking part of the airway. Literally one split second and the damage is done. Sad. Hope he makes it regardless. A lady on a motorcycle that was laid down on a hwy by me with barely no damage wasnt as lucky.CPR but no change. She was DOA for the ambulance and police. No helmet and when the bike went down on its side her head hit the pavement and gave her a major internal head injury. The gentleman driving just had skinned knees and a slight bump on the head and was completely alert and talking with no issues.

This is not funny at all people! Yes the Trooper did his job and they all seem to have much compassion when all is done! Please stop and think about what they have to see and live with along with other’s watching like me who have lost someone that was pushed out of a moving vehicle and died.😢 It’s still a tragedy. Thank you to our men and women in blue❤

10:11 "I oun't know if he's knocked out ir what duh deal is." That snoring sound is distress breathing. It's more than being knocked out. ASP is trained on how to destroy vehicles at high rates of speed, but not trained in any sort of basic EMS? 🤦‍♂️ What if that were an officer on the ground snoring? "Com'on Dave, git yer butt up! Ain't no time fer a nap!"

Why are some people so stupid that they can outrun a police car? Some of them have paid the ultimate price for being so stupid and on drugs and alcohol. I like the ASP best of all. They are a no nonsense group of officers that don't play around.

Honestly, my expectation is that he doesn’t survive after this. The manner and speed by which he was ejected from the vehicle…I don’t think he chose to get out….were so violent and the forces acting upon his body, so great, I would be shocked if he was even a candidate for organ transplant. Kids, this is why you always wear a seatbelt. Don’t listen to cousin Bob from 5 counties over that has a friend of 100 friends that survived a crash by not wearing a seatbelt. That’s a rare incident, wear your fucking seatbelt!
