It was Paul’s statements in understandable language that converted cities and got him both nearly -and ultimately -killed. After writing in known languages more than half my Bible. Glad to see the time he devoted to Greek and Hebrew !!

My “tongues” sound precisely like the first pastor I heard at a tiny Pentecostal church in Hope Arkansas -shortly after I’d prayed for salvation with Baptist rock climbing youth in California. So I think likely I speak in tongues by the effort of my flesh: -so not, as Paul pointed out, actually one who DOES speak Biblical tongues, much as I want to - I sought it, I wasn’t given it-but have sought to and -I do prophesy.

Actually The Spirit hasn’t made it clear I’m blessed for speaking in tongues as Paul pointed out not all do: but The Spirit brings to me scriptures immediately which either bear out or contradict those I hear employed by others. But this is perhaps the answer to the prayer I made when I was saved: I could not relate to fishermen or tax collectors, only Paul; as an oldest and abusive brother who was saved at 21 by the grace of God.
