Puruel and Inuel deserved the upgrade. Their relationship is nice for something that started off as a comedy bit. Both trusts Ilias to the point of going with her to hellish places, and Ilias reciprocates her follower's trust by putting them above her at times when she knows they cant handle the situation anymore like making them stay in the Ilias temple and also asking the team at the end of Alice route to spare and keep them safe.

Dude, no joke these 3's arc was one of my favorite things about paradox, seeing Ilias go from "Ilias the monster hater" to ascending her 2 valued monster friends to angels was amazing, especially how she blindly chased after them without even knowing where the portal they were sucked into lead. Little Ilias asking the paradox crew to spare her friends in the world breaker route was easily one of the most memorable moments from that route, I was totally expecting a fight to ensue there when I saw the 3 of them standing there, but Ilias simply assured her friends safety and accepted she had lost, knowing that she did what she could for them. Paradox did a great job with the redemption of Ilias. Our Ilias anyways lol.

Fun fact: after obtaining her true power ilias can shapeshift to her small form whenever and if you take her to sub-ilias while small in the pocket castle after getting her. Sub ilias mocks her by turning small as well.. so yeah gods and high end beings can choose their forms go figure. Also hyperbolic time chamber.

I wonder how VN Ilias would have reacted to Paradox Ilias lol Inuel and Puruel existence and friendship with Alma is NOT what OG Ilias would have imagined herself having, ever. But, what a wonderful journey she had, she really turned into a benevolent goddess, or she's closer to that more than ever, at least. My favorite character(along with Luci), now I wait to give her all the chances to win in Bride tournament, haha

@@labster1582 She does love the thought of it if you gave her the engagement ring from Lucifina in the camp prior to the final dungeon. But then again, that event really wasn't explored past that for some reason since I wanted to see Lucifina rampage out at that sight. Zero continuity and it was never mentioned again. And the way I see it, it's not much of a romantic feeling but something like a partner for eternity since Ilias still has that goddess outlook regardless of anything else unlike the others. So Alice and Sonya are in the lead. I didn't mention Hild since she already won in another way by bearing Luka a child.

Ilias is arguably the best character in Paradox in terms of character growth and development. Because unlike most of the main characters here, this is still literally the Ilias from the first game. Her story did not end in the first game and it continued here. And boy it was clear how much she had changed as a person. I knew from the start that picking her from the beginning would give me a sense of adventure (also because we had already been with Alice from the first game) and I was right

What makes this even better is that it's consistent with her character, in the original trilogy Michaela says that Illias got warped because she was lonely and forcefuly put into a pedestal, so the fact she values these two who had essentialy been the only real friends so much is in line with that.

@@ranger40k Yeah, and even though she changed drastically to become a better person, I like how she's still the same arrogant and cunning goddess who complains a lot when things don't go her way. That's who Ilias is, that's her character. But she's much more than that now too and I like how the game handled her development so well. It's not perfect but they did a good job

There was a few seconds between Inuel and Puruel getting sucked into the other dimension and Illas following them. If one second in the first dimension is 5 years in the other dimension, I wonder how long they were separated for?

Nops, it was 2 companions for Ilias in the Alice route and 2 companions for Alice in the Ilias route. Alice companions are taking care of the Luka's Inn while they doing this.
