Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the 340-km Purvanchal Expressway in Uttar Pradesh on 16th November 2021. This new greenfield expressway starts from Village Chand Sarai in Lucknow and ends at Haidaria village on NH 31 in Ghazipur. The total length of the fully access-controlled six-lane expressway is 340 km and the project cost is Rs. 22,500 crores.
The areas covered by the Purvanchal Expressway will gain several social and economic benefits as agriculture, commerce, tourism, and other industrial development will get a flip. It will prove to be a catalyst for the development of the region and State.
