Also, I can't listen to Wings for Marie without just breaking down. I only wish I can do my mother's existence as much justice. She would be so proud of him and the people he has touched with is art.

I've also completed the trifecta, or trinity, if you prefer. Tool first, then Puscifer, and finally APC when they got back together. Puscifer was my favorite of the 3 shows, but to be fair I think a lot of that had to do with the venue. It was at the Orpheum Theatre in Phoenix, super small and the atmosphere was incredible.

The truly brilliant artists are never content with just one outlet or one style of music. Particularly, they don't care if their fan base like it or not. They are driven to create, and they do it for the love of their art. MJK falls into this category.(I would include Neil Young and Chris Cornell in this category, as well.) The guy is all-in in whatever he does, and for those that can appreciate an APC album of covers (amazing) or a delicious bottle of wine (Chupacabra!), he delivers.

Some of us didn't have the luxury of "being our age" growing up. I'm not 20, but I appreciate you taking the time to look at my outdated information. I simply don't have any practical reason to update it. I appreciate your input anyways, regardless of how incorrect it is. +Chris Hogsten (KillingJoke04) This song detracts from an otherwise decent album. The whole "I'm old and pissed off at everything" attitude doesn't mesh very well with the more classic "humbled by the beauty of nature" or "jokingly poking fun at people" type of feeling of Puscifer. The lyrics of this song and a couple of others from the album seem like they are first drafts from someone that is pissed off but didn't take to time to figure out their feelings. I would go as far to say whiny and immature. Using negative emotions as inspiration can be a good thing, but in this case there is too much focus on the negative. It's unbearable to listen to. (I'm not trolling, I really like Puscifer and wanted to like this album)

People harp on him? Where and more specifically, when? He's been in the industry for far too long for any appreciable number of people to "harp on his voice"
@StephanoJayP
@StephanoJayP 7 жыл бұрын
mastermanio2 he didn't say "harp on his voice". Do you hear the hypocrisy in what you are saying and what this song is about? There's likely been times where he's experienced people trolling him or he's seen the work of internet trolls and it pisses him off. He is a writer of songs that could be controversial. I'm actually not sure of the extent of anything he's experienced but why would you just dismiss what this previous comment said as a comment on his voice?
@ApesAmongUs
@ApesAmongUs 7 жыл бұрын
Because that comment begins "Maynard really does have a great voice" and is all one paragraph, so should be about a single topic. This is basic primary school shit.

He has a flat-line voice.. not unique... He sounds mundane as fuck, he centers his songs unfortunately on his ability to sing. He makes the entire song sound rather to earth as a result of it all. Not that such a thing is bad. It's just generic in tone.
