Man I should’ve got the controller version saying that I have two MPC’s. I hardly ever use my push and stand alone mainly because it doesn’t have stem separation. In one looking for a push three standalone let me know I’ll give you a sweet deal on my mine

You don't update Push 2, you update Live. Yes, this can potentially trigger a firmware update on the Push 2, similar to Push 3 (non-stand alone), but it does not update independently of a Live update.

no song mode. akai mpc 60 already has a song mode in 1988 but push is the only groovebox of its category that does not have anything like it in 2025. so I have no excitement in new features if it cant do the basic.

What does song mode do on the MPC?

@ arrangement. you sequence a song. I think its called arranger mode on maschine and maybe newer mpcs. its not like putting the full ableton live arrangement on push, just a way to sequence a song from the clips and not having to be hitting pads like you playing something live when you just want to hear or record the song you just did. basic basic. no other major groovebox made in the last 40 years miss this feature.

​@gabrieldonl2311 it's extremely easy to build scenes and do exactly what you are talking about. Make a scene for intro,verse,chorus etc Put in the order you want set to play next scene and hit record, each scene which is a collection of clips will play in the order you set them till the end. I dont remember exactly how to make the scenes auto play cause I dont use this feature but I know you can

@@sirleganse8593 Im sure u dont release music just for that comment, but yes I have an MPC 4000 and a 2500, both have a song mode, but I dont like the new ones. I have a maschine mk3 also, that have a song mode. Im buying an ASR10 that I aint even bother searching if it has a song mode because Im sure it have (because its from 92, u know ? too recent for not having it). And I still think my push3 should have a song mode, as the majoritie of the music producing push users.
