The cover photo, the beat selection, and the line from Infrared about tap dancing for Mamie all tied in. Drake in black face, the video for Story of OJ had in black face, and we know about the Minstrel Show. Pusha T was very strategic in this chapter of the beef. Drake did a web series on youtube couple years ago called "Them and Us" during his Degrassi period, a few episodes are still on youtube actually. These pictures were influenced by one of the episodes. In that particular episode, drake and his dark skin friend was auditioning for a role as a barber. The barber was supposed to be the "stereotypical black man" after auditioning, drakes character got the role, even though the dark skin friend was much better in the audition. It was a representation of society how those lighter in skin colour get preference when they have the "stereotypical black traits"........

Drake made a good decision never fully replying to this. Push was on full strategy mode and played this reply perfectly in every sense, the subject matter, the beat, the cover, everything.
