Audi really cooked in 2024. They used the money saved from discontinuing the R8 really well

Unfortunately you cant say that about the A5, S5, A6, S6, Q6, SQ6 interiors where the quality drop is gigantic and cost savings are visible everywhere. Audi needs to bring back the R8.

@ true about cost saving but they did it to compete with the other Germans, if they use premium materials and price the car on par with Mercedes and BMW, no one would go for the Audi, regarding the R8, it’s had the same engine since day 1, putting that same engine again into the new gen car would cause a backlash from fans and trying to make a new engine to meet up with eu regulations will be too expensive and they wouldn’t want to make it a hybrid, Lamborghini can afford to do that with the Huracan replacement because the company only makes 3 models, the Urus, Temerario and the Revuelto so they can’t afford to discontinue any model, Audi on the other hand have a lot of models so it would make sense for them to discontinue the R8 considering it didn’t really make them any money, the R8 was a statement by Audi to show that they can make a super car, they’ve made that statement so keeping the car doesn’t make any more sense…

I don’t know about anyone else but I much rather look at the mechanical components under the hood…….as unattractive as they may be, than cheap looking plastic covers that conceal everything. There is no reason the engine of a high dollar performance turbo V8 should look like my wife’s Venza.

All exhausts are fake; few models have real ones. One my ex Cayenne turbo GT the exaust tips were not fake, but it was junk. Sounded when you started the car, cold, like someone was hitting the pipes wit a hammer.
