Love this hack, LOVE PUSH!!! Thank You Darren for teaching us so very much! Love to sell and service your shocks at my small suspension shop here in Arkansas, just a bit expensive to get in the door!

You can see me doing this at the start of my 'Wha Out' video (Makara bike park, Wellington New Zealand) I have 40mm RockShocs Totems that are 12yo now and a little sticky even with a service so any lube helps. (I also like to give my stanchions a quick spray with silicone now n then,)

@@PUSHIndustriesInc ...when it's not raining... Basically raining the last month on/off. Flooding in Nelson and here in Wellington slips are the norm... But roll on September.

@@TheButlerNZ Yeah riding in flood conditions doesn't seem ideal. Hope September is prime hero dirt for you.

@@PUSHIndustriesInc There's a local track (black run) called Deliverance... Its a steep decent down a creek bed into a tight valley full of roots and a stream... Hopefully when it's warmer but in a torrential downpour, I'll do another video of it in flood conditions.. I also want to do a clip on riding along creeks... (On a motorbike you put the weight on the rear, try and avoid the big rocks... and go for it.. the front bounces left/right but corrects itself.. I want to see if an MTB will survive that... f course last river crossing I did on the YZ ended in the bike washing out from under me, and as I struggled to lift it.. it literally floated further down stream... then I wasted 30 mins extra because I forgot to clean the plug and a small drip was shorting spark... sigh... and this was in the middle of NZ's only desert... at a lake nth of Waiuru. Good days. (Luckily 2stroke so drownings are not a big issue, just a 30min delay (or an hr when u forget the plug). q8)

@@TheButlerNZ Nice, sounds like an adventure for sure. Let us know if you post a video on it. I ride a Beta 300rr 2 stoke, love it.

I have questions. How does inverting the bike introduce air into the brakes? And what was that awful noise when you compressed the fork?
@PUSHIndustriesInc2 жыл бұрын
It only applies to certain brake types, but it's just part of our "best practice". That noise.....Shimano rotor creep from squeezing the brakes when pushing on the suspension.
@TFritz822 жыл бұрын
Doing that should never introduce air to your brakes, as it's a sealed system!
@markmckenney45342 жыл бұрын
@@TFritz82 Trust us, air gets in, I lost count of how many brake jobs i have performed…it gets in…hard to believe, but true!

Master cylinder piston for sure

@@markmckenney4534 Holy crap...wonder where? I feel like that shouldn't happen, even thought it has/does. 🤔
