Pushing Ilford Delta 3200 Five Stops

How far can Ilford Delta 3200 black and white film be pushed?
For this video, I shot a roll of 120 Ilford Delta 3200 and pushed it 5 stops.

Sometimes it’s useful to push things way beyond what one would consider normal in order to establish reasonable limits. While I don’t see many realistic applications for pushing film to ISO 51200, this does demonstrate that 6400 or 12600 is doable. Thanks for taking the time in this experiment.

For sure! I think 12600 would probably be where this could be pushed and still very much usable. Great for some concert photography or even some wedding shots for those who capture weddings on film and maybe want to add some of that rough grain look sometimes. Glad you enjoyed it!

Those pics turned out great. Sweet tea is the sitz! I'm gonna get another roll of that and try a good push. Hopefully have it on hand and loaded into the Mamiya ready for a night time snow storm! I probably won't push as much as you did. I'll try just 12800 first...lol. I'm in a real small town with not a lot to do so this inspired me for my winter 'to shoot' list. Great job!

Did you edit those inages in post or are they a straight scan with no edits
