All these old videos keep turning up in my feed... thought I had watched all of them but still getting a lot I've never seen. Like finding a nice ribeye steak in the freezer beneath the mixed vegetables and chicken sticks.

Brooksy pro tip when you re spool pull the line through a wet sponge under tension. It packs down way tighter and doesn’t wind knot off the spool like new lines tend to do. I put the sponge in front of the biggest runner

@justfishangler7 жыл бұрын
They are different types of name for them but they all have different features to them theirs California yellowtail, Amber Jack, Asian amber jack and Australian king fish all similar but fight very differently

how often do you re-spool?
@JonnyBrooksFishing7 жыл бұрын
whenever line is getting low, or if its all scuffed up... one thing ya gotta be onto is the state of ur line. I've seen sooooo many good fish get away due to guys not checking their line. (myself included) haha
@connorbush26707 жыл бұрын
ok sweet thank you mate, will have to have a check over on all the line on my reels before I go on my next fishing trip

Watching you spool that reel I couldn't help but wonder why you don't have the handle on the other side. From watching your videos I assume you are right handed. Holding the rod with your strong arm and cranking with your left hand would be so much easier. I was hoping you would take those fish home.That will be some pretty meat after being bled out by the shark. What a testimony to the toughness of those rods!
@jimmygrey68487 жыл бұрын
Yeah seems most right handers in AU hold the rod with the left hand and crank with the right. Just the way most of us do it I guess.
