I owned both of these bikes. Absolutely loved them both. I rideThese trails in N. H. . Love New England terrain. 👍🏼

Its been fun and interesting setting up the DRz for and running in the tough stuff. But its time is over, I'm back on a 2stroke KTM 300XCw. For the terrain I ride, the 2stroke, built for purpose enduro is the way to go. Tomorrow, I'm heading for October Mt. on MA

The DRZ is an awesome single track bike. Have ridden countless miles of single track. Have now 55,000 miles on mine. Runs and looks better than new.

It sure is, I and my buds can't believe what its gotten through. I planned on running the DRz like this as my primary enduro through next season, but in an unexpected turn of events and the generosity of one of my crew I'm going back to KTM 2stroke... which is really the right bike for the type of riding I do.

The humidity has been brutal this July and early August, no doubt. I stopped wearing my backpack and got a tank bag to hold some tools and water. Small fanny pack to hold my MRE and more water. Too hot for wearing too much gear, IMHO. On particularly hot and humid days we try to get out around 7:30am for at least three hours of riding before it gets too hot. I don't think people that ride out west that have never ridden in the east have any idea what its like on those rocks with high humidity. They are like ice. And roots with no bark (or logs) at a forty-five-degree angle can be deadly too.

Its a split second between on, then off the bike in these conditions 🤣 But we still got a great ride in and I definitely have my lighter gear on...

Are you with the "Over the Hill Enduro Riders"? We've been talking about trying some other areas in MA, our usual haunts are in the Berkshires.

I wish we had stuff like this in Maine!

This was recorded in CT, we pretty much ride single track all over southern New England. I've never ridden(off-road) up north but I've looked into it. Seems the riding up there is mostly dirt roads, snowmobile tracks and geared toward SxS.
@frostcold812 ай бұрын
@painsrides3616 You are 100% correct. It's nerve-racking because you never know when a sxs or wheeler is gonna be flying around a corner at 50. I would definitely prefer single-track, lol

I used a drz in NH a few times and it was terrible. Even my cr500 was easier to ride in the tight stuff.

That DRZ can climb (and you know what you're doing obv).

Having skills helps and a good rider can manage any bike bike in tough terrain... But the thing is, the DRz(setup as I have it) is a pleasure to ride in this stuff. I'm as happy riding it as I was on the KTM 2strokes I had before it.
