Your explanation is simple to understand. 1) Is there any special significance of 1,5,9 houses of D9 or is it similar to 1, 5, 9 houses of D1? 2) If you could also talk about Dasa effects on D9. Is Dasa effect mostly seen from Rasi tulya navamsa? Example: if for D1 scorpio ascendant Rahu is Dhanu rasi in D1 but Rahu goes to Aries navamsa of D9 aquarius ascendant. For Rahu Mahadasa will we say that as Rahu is in 6th navamsa so the dasa will mostly revolve around 6th house (because for scorpio aries comes in 6th). Overall will we have to interpret that family will be surrounded by 6th house matters? 3) Then what work has D9 ascendant to do with Dasa lord? If you could gradually bring some more topics. Besides PNs, I learnt a lot on how to connect tatvas, bhavas, D1 & D9 holistically - without which every learner ends up being a neem-hakeem. I seek a small confirmation on the application of the lesson learnt from Example chart 1 to Example chart 2. In chart 1, moon went from 8th house to 9th house & air to water tatva (favorable to moon) so the analysis is that relationship with mother will "get better" in later life. Using this analogy, can this be said for chart 2 that because sun is going from 10th to 8th house, relationship will father worsen eventually. If not, why not. If yes, will this relationship worsen more badly if sun still went from 10th to 8th but say, from gemini to aries (air to fire, eventually getting exalted). I would be grateful if you could help throw some light on this.

Yes your analysis is100% right more than relationship I have seen this manifesting like moving away from that particular relationship maybe not because you had a fight but for some other reason or health issues coming to that relationship. consider lordship also of sun and moon.
