@ fidelity and ray tracing on max. With VRR screen you then get 40-50 fps. But it looks absolutely amazing.

So far from games I've actually tried myself, I'd say most improved from base PS5 to Pro is Dragon's Dogma 2 (note: I don't have FF VII Rebirth), highest end visuals overall is Horizon II: Forbidden West/ Burning Shores, best PSVR2 is Gran Turismo 7, and best use of PiSSeR is Stellar Blade.

I second Stellar Blade and The Callisto Protocol. Dying Light 2 is also a great update. Balder's Gate 3 biggest improvement is couch coop running at 60fps instead if 30fps.

@CharlesVanexX The same console, mate. Split screen multiplayer has been in it from the start, but the Pro patch ups the FPS from 30 to 60. Also, on both the base and Pro since the latest big update, the screen now merges into one when both players are close by. Whereas before it was always split screen even when close together.

FF7 Rebirth, Last of Us; Resident Evil 4 Remake and VR really blow me away. Spider-Man 2 and Rachet and Clank diden't really get me. And it's a Crime that FF16 dosen't has a Pro Update.

Empire of the Ants might be a 6.5/10 gameplay-wise but on the Pro it has some of the most gorgeous photorealistic graphics I’ve ever seen.

Lords of the fallen doesn't use pssr. However it is running pc equilavent max graphic settings in both modes only separated by resolution. I think it's interesting case as the game is developed in UE5 and it's running well on max settings without pssr.

Are graphics enhancements purely hardware or does the developer have to release a patch update?

It's kind of both. The hardware allows for enhancements, but the developer has to release a patch to tap into it. A game without a patch is said to run slightly better but the differences will be minimal.

I just want to thank you for not including Alan Wake 2 as that game needs serious fixing on Pro as it is often a flickery mess. Thankfully Remedy is working on a solution but said they need weeks not days to fix it. I am not sure why it was ever released by them in such a poor state though.

It’s so funny a lot of people, including myself were really against the PS5 pro but honestly, it’s really nice to see a lot of of the improvements actually being pretty good. I bought one myself because of all the good news. I’ve been hearing about some games coming out especially Final Fantasy seven rebirth. I haven’t tried it yet tho

There's also tons of games that play much better without a patch. For example, Resident Evil 2 & 3 now run at lockedc 60 on their RT mode and on Visions of Mana you can now play in quality mode and get a pretty much locked 60.

Space Marine 2 is pretty good now, pretty great actually, Alan Wake 2's 40fps ray tracing mode is also class, may be a placebo but Arkham Knight looks a bit sharper but looked great still, AK still looks better than most of these predictable, repetitive AAA games, btw SSKTJL is currently £4.99 for deluxe edition, I'd have been gutted if I dropped a ton on that not so long ago, I paid £4.99 to watch a gaming car crash.

I love my PS5, but I feel like God of War, the Last of Us, Spider Man, and Horizon Zero Dawn were all better than their sequels. Less bloat, tighter stories, more WTF moments. I've zero interest in replaying Ragnarok or the other sequels just because of my Pro. I'd much rather they upgraded Elden Ring, Returnal, Control, and Ghost of Tsushima, remastered Bloodborne, and then gave us some new, fresh games that actually show what this generation is truly capable of. So far, it still feels like Generation PS4+.

The Avatar update is very frustrating because it makes a lot of the elements of the visuals look really fantastic, but there is a terrible shimmer on the water and wacky behavior of shadows. It seems like something that could be ironed out with another patch, which wouldn't be new for Ubisoft considering they seem to think "gold" is synonymous with "early access" and have an aversion to releasing a finished product.

@ No it hasn’t, the quality mode still has the PSSR shimmering and looks terrible. The only thing they changed was the performance mode which they literally reverted back to the base PS5 settings with TSR. A performance mode looking better than a “quality mode” doesn’t sound fixed to me. The quality mode on base PS5 is superior to PS5 Pro’s quality mode. I know this as I’ve tried both in the last few days.
