Death is genuinely such a good character, they make it so clear that he is death incarnate, the grim reaper himself. If you pay attention, you realise he only shows up when Puss's life is in danger which I think is sick. And the reason he's "not a cat person" is because they have 9 lives, they mock the concept of death itself. Also the scene of Puss having a panic attack is genuinely really well done, one of the best portrayals of a panic attack I've seen and also shows how much emotional support animals can really help a person.

@NeoChronoid Жыл бұрын
@@infamouse9263 I think it's easier to understand his actions by the logic of the swashbuckling adventure novels this portrayal of Puss is based on. And thus when Puss proves he has found an appreciation for life and thus a healthy respect of death, he knows that he can't use that reason to "bend the rules" anymore, so he's left with no choice but to swallow his frustration and go away.

He is one of the best brazilian actors, I might not agree with some of his opinions, but his performances are really good. Here in Brazil he is most famous for being the lead of the national movie "Tropa de Elite" ("Elite Squad" in english). He also appeared on the series Narcos. I didn't recognize him in my first watch of this movie, because I am used to listening him in portuguese. He has even more variety, more range than I imagined.

Pause it at 3:21 or that scene in the crowd making a wave, you can actually spot death in the crowd, he was always been there before he was introduced in the movie.

the scene where Muerte puts coins over his eyes is like putting drachma over your eyes for Charon to carry you over River Styx.

This movie had no right to be as fire as it was. Dreamworks went hard for no reason and I love it. Thanks for reuploading for us! Hopefully this doesn't get taken down again.

Everyone keeps calling death “The best villain!”. Now he is indeed a very well written character, I never considered him a villain. He’s literally death! Death isn’t biased, he’s a force of nature that balances out life. He dosen’t go after Puss for any vain or selfish reason, he does it because it’s his job. It’s Puss who abuses his 9 lives and disrespects the balance. If anything, without Death, Puss wouldn’t have his growth and cherish the people in his lives.
