Apparently Kitty saying she didn't showed up could be because she lied to make Puss feel better about it, since she saw how hurt he actually was about it, it's kind of a strong headcanon since a lot of people believe Kitty wouldn't be that of a hypocrite :u

Most people who theorise that seem to forget (or don't know, first movie) that Kitty is a big bag of trust issues. Puss says that outside the church was the first time he felt fear but that doesn't mean it was the first time that he was clearly nervous about the wedding but in the past he pushed through with bravado.

Death was a major highlight for me in this movie. Just the change in tone ,the SHEER TERROR 😭 , and that whistling 🙌 iconic. All his scenes are phenomenal!

Throughout the movie, goldi was called things like a "fugitive orphan" and "not my sister" by baby bear. Also, the fact she's been adopted by the bears would give her the natural desire to know and be a part of her birth family. She wants the wish, not because she necessarily wants to rid herself of the bears but because she doesn't really feel like she belongs. I'm glad they wrapped her arc the way they did.

Personally I feel she holds Santa Coloma as a more general term of how Puss used to be, as opposed to it being specifically the wedding. Like Santa Coloma represents old Puss being distant or even how he abandoned her completely if that makes sense

I'm so sorry your dog got lost. My cat got lost 4 months ago. He was also like a therapy cat to me. Helped calm me down when I would get anxiety attacks. :' D The scene with Perrito and Puss made me ugly sob.

​@@bitabunny I, too, can empathize. My cat, Cathy, passed away very unexpectedly several years ago. Without any formal training in it, she was a skilled therapy cat. Her very first night after I got her from the shelter, she woke me out of a nightmare with light pats of her paw on my cheek, then laid on my chest and pressed her head against my neck until my heart stopped racing. (Depression-fueled night terrors SUCK, FYI.) That was not the last time she did that, and it was not the only trick in her arsenal. I miss her.

Kitty's Gatito blade was probably a representation of the kitten she would never have the same as Emu Hino's Tiger cub tattoos in Crying Freeman.

Kitty's been declawed, so her gatito blade is essentially a replacement claw of sorts. You can see her use it like that during the chase at the factory, when she uses it to be carried up by the cog. Puss would have simply used his claws to do the same maneuver. It makes the scene with her handing it to him to replace his missing sword mean so much more when you think of it in that context.

@@bitabunny Hmm. Possible, but I think there's more to it. The owners could have done it, but after watching it a few more times, there's a possibility he could have done it himself. Why? Just look at the things on the map when he has it. 1: pocket full of posies. They're a reference to the Black Death or Bubonic Plague that killed over 20 million people in Europe back in 1347. People would put posies in their clothes because they thought it spread through the air, or bad air, and that posies negated that, and just to ward of the stench of death. 2: river of relaxation. Possible reference to either death by bathtub bleeding suicide, or drowning. Some people commit suicide by cutting their wrists and then going into a bathtub and bleeding out. Also it could reference Perrito and him nearly drowning. Since he has a cut on him, it's possible he tried that. 3: field of quick and easy solutions. Another possible reference to suicide. Some people think that suicide is a "quick and easy solution" act. Now, I do realize that what I typed here is dark, but some people do put up a happy face on the outside, but are in agony on the inside mentally.
