If you see something you don’t agree with the only way to promote politician accountability is by holding them accountable. I am unsure of the misinformation you reference, but from what I can tell it’s a creative interpretation on various actions his government has upheld or promoted. He was famously caught saying “When you’re a star, they let you do it...grab them by the pussy” and that’s a big focal point of her criticism. Similarly, he’s currently supporting a new conservative justice to the Supreme Court who has shown she is not in favour of upholding abortion laws and has been on the dissenting side against many pro-choice bills. Trump has even spoken on reevaluating Roe v Wade with Barrett on the court, and she is only one example of the anti-choice restrictions that have been performed under his administration. PussyRiot has this restriction of women’s healthcare as another main theme to her creative piece, and even if you aren’t pro-choice you can hopefully see why someone who is would want to criticize his actions. Again, I appreciate the dialogue and I thank you for explaining your perspective in a polite manner. I hope you have a lovely day!

@@williammullens63 Teachers are supposed to teach children more than how to take tests. Part of their job, used to be, to teach children empathy and how to be decent citizens, helping each other. Taught their constitutional rights. Part of which is that the people have the right to remove the govt when it's not working in their best interests. Hanging up a picture of a woman protesting the loss of human rights all around the world, including the US, is in keeping with that. Public schools exist, in the US anyway, because Henry Ford needed workers that could read and count for his new production line and workers able to run the new machines that helped make it happen. There's an excellent book called "Lies My Teacher Told", sorry, I don't remember the authors name off hand, but he used to edit public school textbooks. He wrote about how geographic location was one way history books were effected and there were others, white washing was pretty much rampat everywhere. Unless you lived near an American Indian population/reservation, you were very unlikely to learn more than a very basic, very brief and very white version of their history. If you did live near them, you'd get a few facts and a couple stories of the horrors wreaked on them by our govt, quickly followed by stories of tortures the Indians did of their own. I guess I'm just trying to say, schools have never really been for telling the truth in an unbiased manner...although we're led to believe that through endless propaganda, reiterated and regurgitated to us through the mass media. I love that this teacher is exposing her students to an option other than the mainstream.

I've seen this so many damn times over the years since it was released and it just keeps becoming more and more relevant, the imagery and significance of the labels being seared into flesh are so powerful for how it feels to be a woman in this society. Also, the chorus lines, with the whispered "make America great again", in my opinion show the juxtaposition between trump's message of trying to better things, and how to actually better things in our society. She is saying no if you let other other people in, listen to women and stop taking innocent black lives, maybe then we can actually make America great. I fully agree with this video and I find it to be such a necessary and beautiful piece of art.
