“If we're out of fellowship, the blood is not cleansing us …” (52:02 on the clip) Not sure I'm in full agreement with Prince on that point. I think he may be pushing a conclusion that is not necessarily inferred in the text. Plus, there is some apparent contradiction (note what Prince states earlier, at 11:00 on the clip, which introduces certain scenarios of 'fellowship' that a Christian may have to flee from … ) I really don't think the intent of 1 John 1:7 was ever to say that the blood of Christ will not cleanse outside of Christian fellowship. Rather, I think the writer of the epistle (not necessarily Paul) is saying that true fellowship is a direct result of having been witness to the SAME and TRUE Light, personally, period. “ … what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life- and the life was manifested, and we have seen and testify and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us- what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ. These things we write, so that our joy may be made complete.” So, I have to conclude that the blood of Christ cleanses the true believer, regardless of standing in fellowship, but that 'joy is made complete' in true and proper fellowship. After all, the overall theme here, in this very message is, 'waiting on God.' Sometimes, true fellowship is truly what you have to wait on (maybe after having gone out and 'chosen' for yourself the Church that YOU wanted, where the 'fellowship' turned out to be downright toxic. Ever been there?? Not the best scenario to fall into, but if you happen fall into such fellowship, JUMP out! The BLOOD will NEVER lose it's power!)
