Fire extinguisher should be fine being outside in the cold Dave....... Reason I say that is because at the gas station I use to work at had them out strapped to a pole all year round and it got downright cold sometimes.
@improvisedsurvival59676 ай бұрын
@@jaysbaby2012delivered to a guy that does commercial fire extinguishers. He has a stack behind his business so I asked him what was wrong with them he said nothing. He just can’t certify them anymore. He gave me 3 of the big ones. Told me to turn it over and smack bottom with a mallet to loosen the powder once a year and should be good to go. First one that’s empty is getting turned into a flame thrower. Fire extinguishers are a way underrated prep. I’ve seen fire devour vehicles and buildings in minutes. An absolute must have prep.
@guytech73106 ай бұрын
1. Dry Chem Fire Extinguishers are corrosive. If you use it on your power system it will trash it from corrosion & you need more than that small extinguisher. Only alternative for electrical would be CO2 (pricey). Maybe more cost effective to get a 80L CO2 tank, regulator & connect it to a nozzle. Store the CO2 cylinder on the outside so you have easy\safe access. 2. What you want are a external disconnect switches so if there is a problem you can disconnect power from the outside. An weatherproof external metal electrical box with the disconnects installed. Whats likely to happen is that shed fills up with smoke preventing you from getting to the disconnects in a emergency. Perhaps just one main battery disconnect that is in between the inverters & the Batteries distribution block & 120VAC\240VAC external disconnect for the AC side. 3. If the Grid goes out for more than few weeks you can Kiss your but good bye as South Carolina is surrounded by Nuclear power plants. With the grid out, no way to refuel the NPP backup generators. After about 7 to 10 days, they run out of fuel. The reactors will start melting down, a month after that the spent fuel pools will catch fire. Once the spent pools catch fire all of SC will be hopeless contaminated for thousands & thousands of years.Only option for a long term US grid down event is to flee to south america (no nuclear power plants). FYI i takes between 4 & 5 years for spent fuel to cool down enough for passive cooling.

I worked in my garden today. The potatoes, bush beans, onions, peppers, tomatoes are all doing well. The fig bushes look good. The sugar snap peas failed for the first time this year. I planted seed twice in three different locations. Almost none came up so I threw away those seeds. No peas for us this season. We don't get a lot of food but we do get some and there are no herbicides or insecticides on this food. The young family behind me is having a garden for the second year. I gave them some red seed potatoes to plant and another neighbor gave them some yellow potato seed to plant. I will let the lady behind me come and pick figs because I get way too many for two people. The people here are working together to garden and experiment. None of this is a fancy plan, its just neighbors talking to each other and sharing.

God is not the author of your confusion. Jumping around like that. You did not get that from simply reading God’s word but from the traditions of men taught to you, which you now try to pass on to the next unsuspecting victim. The gospel of Christ for your justification is written in the King James Bible, Romans chapter 1 through 4.

I appreciate the fact that you're prepping for yourself and your loved ones AND for your elderly neighbors. I know some people who have openly stated that their go to plan is to steal from people like you when the grid goes down. These are people of means and ability who can afford to prep but are just choosing not to because according to their reprobate minds, why prep when they can take? I have told anyone with this mindset that the only thing they're gonna get if they execute on the "wolf" plan is to get shot. I think it's sad that some people think this way because there are enough of us preparing that we really could come together as a society to get through anything if we could only get our minds right.
