It's not weird to miss the struggle, because you feel everytime you accomplished something small or big during the time of struggling that feeling was so much unheard-of. Like life was exactly earn and living pass 18 was a blessing. I was homeless for 3 years in California until I moved to Georgia and now I pay own bills, I have my own pad and I pay for my own groceries without food stamps and I just feel so happy doing that shit on my own. Got off of probation when I was 18 and now I'm 22 with all the things I learned with my mistakes and I'm on my 9th life with a chip on my shoulder knowing what to do and what not to do. I thank God everyday for that.

Same except I'm in southwest Virginia and the poverty in my area is staggering. It's a majority white area but I have noticed that the few POC around here do seem to suffer even more from poverty. There's a major drug problem too of course, and poverty and crime are like mac n cheese.. where there's one there's the other. I feel for anybody that has been homeless or too poor to live or eat. What makes it worse is the social stigma of being poor plus all that entails
