Putin is a lifelong KGB (FSB) agent, he is not a military man. He has to depend on his generals, and he’s fired a few recently, and many have died on the battlefield. I think there is a definite void in Russian military leadership, and when you factor the known kleptocracy that is rampant in the supply system😢, Russia is lucky they are not in a worse position. They have lost a navy to a country that does not have a navy. All they know to do is throw men at the front, and have a secondary army not allowing your frontal units to never retreat.

It’s not called War legally for a reason. Read Ukrainian legislation and Russian, they stay the same way. Or Ukraine wants to castrate Europe? Read UN decisions and UNESCO. You never call anything a “Theater” that is Just a play in a theater. Those loud names are made up for low - esteem people and they usually deserve it, terminology and meaning is for those who’s intelligent and has the meaning of life. If the UN says “war”, the Ukraine has war, so as other confines, but the UN know the definition of War and it’s not war since it has different nature, ways and the ideology. If a person wants to be heard, he must talk in an acceptable and a responsible way.

Russia is running a deficit with it's wartime economy. Deficit spending comes from their Sovereign Wealth Fund, and at the rate Russia is burning through that fund, all Ukraine has to do is hold on for another year, or year and half. Russia attacking Ukrainian civilian positions from its own territory was just too perverted. But what I think made the US change course was Ukraine's attack on Russian early warning systems deep inside Russia. I don't see any great benefits these attacks had for Ukraine, except as a bargaining chip with NATO countries, who really hated the idea. And because I think that Ukraine cleverly forced the changes, I don't see the new rules as a seismic change towards wanting Ukraine to win decisively.

Prince William was at the D Day commemoration. It doesn't matter if a politician comes or goes (or even which government is in power), they are just part of the machinery of running the government. Your Prince of Wales, head of state, was there. He represents the UK, he is your continuity. Prince William represents your country's commitment to honoring those who gave their lives so that we could be free. Long live the King. Of course it was shameful that Sunak left but politicians are a dime a dozen, they come and go. The monarchy is eternal and steadfast(Canadian here).

Politics and war only work together when politics supports a successful resolution of the war with all means available. When support of the political arena takes precedence over a war that the politicians are engaged in, then a successful resolution of that war is severlely compromised, resulting in extra loss of life. If supporting a run for presidency means stopping Ukraine from fully defending itself and not committing to victory, then such a calous disregard for human life is unforgiveable.

Starting unprepared in June 1941 it only took Russia's military 3.5 years to defeat the Nazis in WWII. Starting in March 2022 with reportedly the 2nd largest military in the World Putin's War is in Ukraine is in its 3rd year. Putin has demonstrated he is unable to defeat the relatively minor military country of Ukraine. It is approaching 2.5 years and Putin has yet to 'win' anything in Ukraine.

This guys' understanding of war, politics, and economics is very questionable. The US and Russia with the Ukraine war are killing West Europe economically and diminishing its military power. By the end of the Ukraine war west Europe will be the most impacted. West Europe is taking a lot of weapons to Ukraine which would need to be replenished overtime which would increase dependence on US protection during this period. Now on the other side Russia is kicking out European companies from the middle east and Africa (e.g France in West Africa), this are companies responsible energy and industrial production. This will make it harder for west Europe to come back economically to fund its military stock resulting in a weaker Europe that will depend on US for energy and military protection for decades to come. With most shipping routes turning into war zones, the future might get worse on food imports.
