It's not a Mass. Orthodox service is called a Divine Liturgy. And not all Orthodox Churches use the Julian calendar. The Greek Orthodox celebrate on Dec. 25.

They were forced to do it by the west and catholics just like Romania, before they were also on Julian calendar and mount Athos in Greece is still on Julian calendar

I was about to make the same comment about the mass. The term mass comes from the Latin in the western rite. Although it’s the same concept of the principal Eucharistic service, the term “mass” is particularly western.

When i studied at nursery class... I found photos of Christian religious scholars in my book.. Seeing the Christian religious scholar next to Putin reminded me of the Jingle Bells rhymes from my childhood. I am Muslim but I love Russian Christian and all. Lot of love from India.

Please use "Divine Liturgy" which Orthodox Christians use: not "Mass" which derives from "dismissal" of Matins before the Divine Liturgy begins. Charlemagne's "Catholic" church used this being ignorant of its meaning...

In eastern rite Byzantine Orthodoxy it is called Divine Liturgy, not the mass.
