@@s0ycapitanNOT a trap. Russia lost land and personnel from capture. Russian civilians were ordered to evacuate due to lack of protection from incoming Ukrainian troops. Rumors abound about combat engineers following on to build fortifications. Ukraine forces are still present after one week instead of being repelled or destroyed.

To sustain their positions,the Ukrainian army and defense intelligence could keep striking the supply lines of the opponents , the supply ammunition itself and the close air bases to Kursk and Belgorod...They could testify and examine weaker spots to capitulate on them and even divert resources and forces of the opposite side from other areas and directions...

That was a response to japan attacking a base in Hawaii, Pearl Harbor. Still no one can figure out what country's forces actually invaded Japan during WWII "prior" to Japan attacking pearl harbor. Some may say it was China but China denies that and there really is no proof anyone was actually invading Japan prior to the Pearl Harbor attack.

Starmer realistically has zero political weight in Iran. Why they know many things like his wife and children are following Judaism and he does not work after 6pm to be with them on Fridays. He is also a member of Labour Friends of Israel. He will also be viewed as US lackey and pro-Israeli by the regime and an active military combatant in the last attack by Iran on Israel. Iranian supporters have done things on UK soil already. Relations are very bad at the moment. Effectively just a curtesy call with nothing of interest for the Iranian's.

Ukraine army is being instructed to grab territory in the process as they attack and by pass Russians they are then getting bushwhacked down the road later. This is a major offensive using mobile forces a third front by Russians in Sumy or Belgorod region was likely 2024. This does halt that 2024 but Ukraine is losing resources. Turning the lines in Russia and getting behind supply routes would have been preferable for mobile units.
