Here the problem is more in understanding and not being hypocritical. If we look at the situation simply, Russia did not go with some military alliance or long-range missiles to the American borders, but NATO came to the Russian border and therefore Russia has the absolute right to defend itself. Simple fact, imagine if Russia came to Mexico, or Cuba or Canada with its nuclear weapons. What would the USA do then, does anyone think that it would keep quiet and watch it all calmly. Well, of course it would not, but it would destroy Mexico and Cuba and Canada. Why did America rebel in Cuba in 1962? Why did it not keep quiet and watch everything calmly. It is doing exactly that with Ukraine, and of course Russia will defend itself and react. There should be an absolutely correct interpretation, one side cannot do whatever it wants, and when the other defends itself then let's say that they are the aggressors.

true. But this is new because the warheads are able to maneuver at hypersonic speed. The technical name for them is "hypersonic glide vehicle". The missile just accelerates them up to speed, then they skip off the atmosphere as they glide to target while also performing maneuvers designed to evade interceptor missiles.

However foreign US military bases are in strike range and "vulnerable". though the us military has proven to be still superior in direct combat against russian 'mercenary' forces. so there's not much for the US specifically to worry about.

I don't necessarily call it bluffing. I see it as warning signals. Similar to a dog. If you pet a dog, and he growls, most people would stop. But if you keep petting and he bares his teeth, that's another red line warning to knock it off. If you keep doing it, eventually the dog will bite you. Now... is that the dogs fault or the person that keeps petting the dog? If I were to put my tinfoil hat on, I would say that a lot of our political elites have their hands in the military industrial complex and the thought of peace hurts their wallets. So, before Trump can solve these wars, they want to escalate them to the point of no return.
