Cultural memory? As a Brit, who was a young boy at the time, my cultural memory is of 600,000 Russians troops entering Czechoslovakia with their tanks rolling into Prague in 1968. That memory drives me to feel that we should not be allowing Russia to do that, and al lot worse, in Ukraine today. If tanks is what it takes, send tanks. Nothing culturally "sacred" about tanks.

Also, there was a mercenary during the Middle ages that served his king very well, so well in fact that he created a lot of enemies within the court. He was very effective as a mercenary, but at some point the king decided that he got gained too much political power. And had him killed. Unfortunately I don't remember the mercenaries name more the particular King that he served... Nor even the exact era in which this happened but it was during the late or middle middle ages. I suspect this is what's going to happen to Prigozhin

This lady interviewee is nuts. The US and EU tried to support Russia via both NATO and the EU. NATO and the EU could never have forced Russia to do anything. NATO and the EU tried integration and did give financial aid to help Russian transition. The demand of NATO and the EU was acceptance of common standards of transparency. Transparency was key to NATO joint military operations with Russia. Transparency was also key to banking and financial markets accounting. Putin rebelled at NATO and EU transparency because it exposed his culture of kleptocracy in every aspect of Russian life. Putin, Russian Oligarchs, and the Russian Military looted trillions from Russia. The kleptocracy was known in industry via a mutual fund lawsuit. The Military kleptocracy was not uncovered until Ukrainians exposed it on the battlefield. This lady needs to read more about Russia; she is clueless!!!

True. Democracy is not perfect but its has "checks and balances". It has transparency through the Freedom of the Press and the peaceful transition of power through constitutions and elections. Corruption is confronted through the rule of law and accountability. Communism is cocersive and supported by violence, oligarchy, and intimidation. Perhaps this is why Putin dissolved Russia's Constitution and placed himself into the presidency for life without term limitations.

Well, regarding supply of munitions to Ukraine it's becoming increasingly obvious that the delay is because the 'Wesrern alliance' is mainly concerned with maintaining the war long enough to completely wear down Russian military while not providing enough for a timley victory. An outright victory over Russia will only promote anger, resentment, grievance, revenge, and another, and maybe worse, war later, cf. Versailles. Better a worn out, dissillusioned, dispirited, Russia.

So, let us take the whole thing from the start. Ukronazis had, before the Russian invasion, 2.400 tanks, they recieved another 300 during the summer, now they are going to recieve 50 Bradleys, 40 Marders, some French " light tanks" on wheels, 12 to 14 Leopards 2 from the Poles, and 10 Challenger, 2 from the Brits. According to the western, and ukronazi BSers, the ukies had in the middle of the summer more tanks than those they had before this war started, because they were " capturing " scores of Russian tanks... So, from that "excellent" state, now we have mr Zaluzhny, in his interview with " Newsweek " to beg his western sponsors for : 300 tanks, 600 to 700 infantry fighting velicles, and 500 artillery pieces, implying that if he will not get them, the party will be over soon.draw your own conclusions about : the volume of BS we have heard from the NATO / Uki gang, the volume of losses in all kinds of equipment the ukros have suffered up to now, and about the " vast " help they will recieve in the coming months. Just to put the new western supplies in perspective : they can equip one ( 1 ) ukronazi brigate. So much for the " Spring offencive ". Now, with regards to the " game changing " western armor, in 2019 the Turks lost 10 Leopards 2 in Syria, in 2016 the Saudis lost 20 Abrams M1 in Yemen, in 2007, a scandal erupted in the British Army when 2 Challengers 2 were destroyed in Irag, while their protection mechanisms failed to function in both cases. All of those losses were inflicted by goat herders with white robes, sandals and old Soviet RPGs. It takes no genius to understand what will happen, when the " game changing " Behemoths will appear on the ukrainian battlefields against a combined arms army, Reputational disaster, after the physical of course. In addition, the western tanks, do not have an autoloading mechanism, as the Soviet, and Russian have. So, instead of 3 persons crew the ukies used to have, now they have to use 3 + 1 loader. Also, the Challengers 2 have a rifle gun, which is different from the Leopards, and all the other kinds of tanks, and uses different types of shells. In conclusion : If there is anybody who believes that the ukies will manage to have 4 persons crews trained, in at least 2 different types of tanks in due time, and they will manage to get something usefull with the one ( 1 ) brigate that they will muster, i have a bridge to sell him in down town Kiev. PS. The ukronazis are right, Soledar has not fallen yet, because they took with them, while fleeing, a road sign with the name of the town...😂😂
