First thing Americans have to understand about foreign policy is that the military industrial complex wants more war and they are the people who control the politicians. So the politicians want more war and will often create narratives to justify wars. Once you acknowledge this you can begin to analyze the foreign conflicts throughout history. Sometimes we aren’t the good guys. Also look at who supported corrupt wars in the Middle East and look at what those politicians positions are now on Israel and Ukraine. Usually if Lindsey Graham agrees with you than you are in the wrong boat.

One thing that’s missing in the analysis is that the UAF have been decimating Russian Army logistics, especially by attacking fuel and cargo trucks of all sizes. Even vans, SUVs, and similar sized vehicles are on the hit list, and have been for well over a year. This limits the ability to move regular army forces towards the Kursk salient from the Donbas and Kherson areas.

Probably because the west didn’t foresee the Kursk invasion. Nothing has been said, however, about reports that most of the resources that were passed by congress have not been used yet and most will probably expire unused by September 30, the same thing that happened with the Lend-Lease funds; most expired unused. I think the fact that Putin has now put an FSB man into the top military job is indicative of the rot (or lack of enthusiasm) in the top Army commanders. Has NATO protected at least one of its members in its entire history?
@WalterZiobro2 ай бұрын
They have always been inept. They just hid it very well until recently. They even hid it from their own leaders. The war in Ukraine has exposed how inept they are, even to themselves.

The other interesting thing about this incursion is that Russia can’t deploy its traditional tactics of levelling towns and cities to defeat its ts opposition. Now, if it tries to level the towns and cities, it’ll be destroying its en towns and cities. They’re not ready for this at all. They’re in really bad shape. And, Ukraine has pulled off a Masterstroke

@@LKBURN I believe there is still an open question about their response. Putin might decide the political downside of an extended Ukrainian presence is likely to be worse than the public reaction to leveling everything. Plus the experienced combat units will be following their practiced approach, where excessive destruction is an inherent part of the tactics.

@Universalawareness. Apparently you haven't been following this war for the last couple of years or at least not with any sort of awareness. The west's reaction to Russia's invasion of Ukraine has been slow and weaker than it should be since the start and is due to many reasons ranging from European dependance on Russian gas to fears of nuclear reprisal. The west has (painfully) slowly been ramping up support as well as what Ukraine is allowed to do for years now. This Kursk invasion very well may be what leads to Ukraine finally being allowed to use western weapons with far less restrictions.
