Russia is forcing the men of dombas to fight for them whether they like it or not. They can't even produce more than a dozen t14 tanks and only have 5 operational su57, and are resorting to using equipment from the 60s and 70s. All they have left in oil and grain for their economy. Confirmed destroyed Su25s are at 14. The 14 include shot down as well as other causes like crashes. Losses due to other causes like non lethal battle damage or simple wear and tear is unknown. Russia has 190 or so Su25s. Whether all of these are operational is debatable. So Su25s have taken roughly 10% losses, maybe more if there are a significant number put out of action by wear or damage. That is not great if you are an Su25 pilot. Further, Russian strike aircraft of all kinds have been reduced to dropping dumb bombs. They, and the rest of Russia's air force, are not incredibly effective.
