Putri was born premature and lost vision on both eyes soon after. Putri was 8 years old when she competed at IGT, the IGT crowd love her and she won it. But the music industry is a different animal. Indonesia is that country with many big talents, like for real. So they sidestepped this blind girl for other mainstream artists to promote. Someone who can dress sexy, you get the drift. This is what Putri meant when she said that people only see her as a blind person, not as a musician. Also the part "I dont fit into the crowd", "I wont be like them", "this is who i am", because she is a blind person. The struggle was real. There was'nt that many public appearances by Putri because she hardly gets invited. Most Indonesians have never heard of her till AGT. But her parents never gave up, believed in her and planned ahead, they gave her a solid education, set up her KZbin channel to build up her body of work and fans. Parents also set to feature her on AGT since long ago knowing that AGT is more forgiving with people with disabilities. Look at how fluent Putri is in English now. This help greatly if you want to break into the International market. Other Indonesian acts cant speak in English. However AGT turned a blind eye to her despite them applying for many years UNTIL 2023. She got her break and now she is known globally (and she started to get invites to local shows, ah the hypocrisy).
