On the keyboard she is playing she can select the key positioning most comfortable for her hands and with the press of a button adjust the pitch to whatever is most comfortable for her voice. Now you have started me wondering about her life. She was brought up conservatively, yet she sings about complicated relationships with pathos and conviction. Has Putri had her heart broken? It should be unlikely and we really don't want her to experience the things she sings about - she is too young, too pure. In fact, it is the interpretation and delivery that gets me more than her actual voice.

That's true right, she sings with such emotion. She makes people cry with her when she sang I'll never love again. How she can have such a feel of the song I'll never understand...she was only 14 when she covered that. I only want to enjoy that giff she is sharing with us all, and wish her all the very best.

Truly surprising song choice for this young lady, but she delivers this heartbreak with pathos and finesse! Such a strange combination but delightfully emotive. The key is flattering to her voice and I suspect that I enjoyed this a tad more than the original. Perhaps because it is in a more comfortable range? The original feels more stressed and maybe less authentic somehow? Still a beautiful song and this is a terrific cover. Cheers from Canada!

God granted Putri special gifts and she gladly shares them with us. Win or lose the real winner is us. Putri has been a winner a long time before now. I highly recommend a KZbin Video in which Putri performed for a TEDx program. She sings and lectures about her life. Hi William...thank you for the objective and realistic reaction to Putri Ariani's cover of Happier. Today is the first time I've heard of this song, I actually thought of Ed Sheeran. Now I will look it up since it's co-written by him and Olivia. It's interesting you mentioned her being blind, I wonder too how she makes the songs so alive, so colourful when she has no vision. We don't know her idea of beautiful, how being happy looks on a person. If only she can see the joy, the tears, the emotions she brings in people everytime she sings...she's this young talented, gifted girl that has put countless people under her spell. I think her missing a sense and the rest being enhanced allows her to copy emotion she hears in people’s voices without needing to have experienced it herself. I think she can feel the meaning of words in a way a majority of people don’t.
