The only Junior Arcade I haven't walkthrough'd yet, period. I have done Sock Works, Water Worries, and Dog on a Stick, but all of those are multi-part and I plan on redoing them. Anyway, here's Balloon-o-Rama, the only Junior Arcade I personally owned as a kid. This is the second longest one, tied with Water Worries. The game plays like this: You control Putt-Putt bouncing Pep to pop all the balloons in each level. You try and get the highest score possible by racking up combos to get 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100 points for each balloon popped in succession. I turned on the Junior Helpers to make the walkthrough quicker and to prevent my score from being reset via a Game Over. Every fifth level (besides Levels 5, 115, and 120) has a bonus spaceship that appears if you pop a specific row, usually the top. If you get it, you move on to the bonus level where you can rack up lots of points. If you reach 3 bonus levels in succession, a UFO appears at the end and spews 100-point-if-caught ships. The problem is, it's VERY easy to pop, and there was only one bonus level I actually got a good amount in.
Level by level comments:
1-10: Not too much to say.
11-20: Candy balloons are introduced. If you catch the candy that falls out, you get 50 points. Striped ones give crud (that's actually what they call it in the help file), that take away 50 points. We also see our first power-up, the rubber band, which makes Putt-Putt longer. Power-ups wear off after 2-4 minutes or after you drop Pep.
21-30: Flower balloons appear, which mix crud and candy together. We also see the space helmet here, which lowers gravity. Combos are very easy to get with it.
31-40: The cape appears, and is the best power-up of all. It allows Pep to pass through anything, making 100-point combos very common.
41-50: Welcome to Bumperville. We are introduced to bumpers, something that will annoy you a lot. We are also introduced to two-in-one balloons.
51-60: Nothing added here at all, except my favorite music in the game!
61-70: People seem to hate this set the most, but I think 101-110 are even worse. This is the first scenery to feature regenerating balloons, which is the worst part of the game. They get very annoying quick, especially in Level 69 (I know what you're thinking. Get a better sense of humor.) We are also shown to paint buckets, and speaking of which, for some reason the game glitched and I lost Putt-Putt's color on Level 68. We are also shown to the electric boots, my least favorite power-up, as it's annoying to keep clicking when I just want to bounce Pep. They also seem to give you less control over speed. We also see Percival the Pig, who tries to drop bowling balls on you. Personally, I like using him to my advantage, as he pops balloons too. Whew, lots of introductions in just one set!
71-80: Nothing new here.
81-90: Pinwheels are introduced. They are almost as annoying as bumpers, because for the most part they'll rebound Pep into the opposite direction. If you're lucky, he might go somewhere else.
91-100: Nothing new.
101-110: Ugh...I hate this set so much. The levels go on forever and ever. They feel like they'll never end. 108 is the absolute worst of these, as they put oh-so-conveniently placed pinwheels to make the whole thing painful to sit through. Seriously, why don't these get as much hate as 61-70?
111-120: I was very lucky to make it to the last level with a cape. I lost it before I could get another, but at least I got the paint buckets cleared.
This is my favorite Junior Arcade game. It was the only one I grew up on, but it's still my favorite anyway. Maze Madness seems to be everyone else's favorite, but I like this game better because it has a faster pace and getting a high score isn't very time consuming. This also has my favorite HE soundtrack of all time (It wasn't even composed by Jeremy Soule either! Rhett Mathis did it here, which impresses me). The level designer here was also FAR less limited than Maze Madness. Sure it doesn't let you do everything, but it's still much better. The only major downfall is its weak ending, but other than that, this is definitely an awesome game.

I have a few favourite balloons: polka dotted ones, moon ones, mystery ones- usually with a superhero cape and an astronaut helmet, HE ones, eye ones, clam ones and balloons with different coloured paints in silver pails.

+Sean W. Stewart It really did! Rhett Mathis is an amazingly talented composer, I don't know why he didn't do more work. This was the first game I played where I really got into the game's music, actually!

Rhett was talented at everything! Music, & programming & design - which he did all of on Balloon-o-rama. A real polymath. Nowadays he's been one of the designers of Forza Motorsport racing game as one of his other passions was cars.

I love how this games uses backgrounds from Putt Putt Joins The Parade, Putt Putt Goes To The Moon, and Putt Putt Saves The Zoo. It also has two bonus backgrounds. It has the neighborhood from Fatty Bear's Birthday Surprise, and a carnival level that features stuffed animals of Fatty Bear, Fredi Fish, Luther, and Buzzy The Knowledge Bug. Pretty cool.

The opening music had to be about the most 90s sounding music I've heard in a Humongous game. So basically this is the classic Breakout game with Putt-Putt as the paddle and Pep as the ball. Interesting how they made that fit.

used to love this game. my cousin had it at her old house in the computer room in their basement. I played it around 2001 when I was 12. who knows where the hell the disc is now. :( I loved the ones that had candy inside.

@garry12gg Actually, the Advanced Uploader can handle 20 GB files. But the reason my videos are under 2GB is because Windows XP's movie maker saves at 864 Mbps, so you won't exactly get amazing quality, but it's still good enough for me and time saving. I could make it higher quality by saving at 2.1 Mbps, but I think this is good enough.

Levels 61 to 70's music (one of the reasons I watched this video) is basically a remake of Around the World by ATC. But I didn't know it until years later, I heard the ATC song in a store somewhere and said "THAT'S PUTT-PUTT!", although I didn't actually learn the name of the song until much later. lol I loved the music in HE's games.

Mine's custom made and it's Windows 7. Some games work on compatibility mode, but games like this don't.

I'm pretty sure you get it every third bonus stage as long as: 1) You actually make it to three bonus stages in a row, AND 2) You complete all three of them, without dropping Pep in the bonus stage.
