I think the reason it can withstand you standing on it is because an ostrich weighs at least as much as you do or more and they sit on them to hatch them so that’s why they have to be able to be strong enough to hold their moms weight.

Some chefs say that ostrich eggs and lighter and fluffier than chicken eggs. IDK about rhea eggs though. More egg facts: •Kiwis lay really big eggs. If you see a kiwi skeleton compared to a kiwi egg, it looks very uncomfortable. •penguin egg “whites” are actually almost entirely clear when cooked.
