@@padraig5335 Its called that because they needed to add something to the game to attribute what europeans do on the game floor. Brothers have been doing that step since the days of the ABA.. especially the 80's NBA, I think Larry Bird did it a couple of times after watching what the brotha's was doing, then it abused all over the playgrounds during the AND 1 error and videos of their games.. and during that whole time the Harlem Globe trotters would do it too.. and yet the name euro step comes out during the turn of the century.. sometime between 2001-2006.. I cant recall the official date. Sorry.. he just hip hopped over players.. like Deion and Barry Sanders were doing but at the Quarterback level.. last person to do that was Michael Vick. Avoid the crucial hits that come from running and he will be fine unless someone take him out with dirty hit, which is soon to come playing in this league. Happen to Steve Young just before he retired.

No coach should take credit for Lamar Jackson's talent. Look at his high school and college film. I've been watching football for more than 50 years, the NFL systematically has stifled the natural talents of certain players for decades. Warren Moon was a pocket passer from a big school the university of Washington, and the NFL passed on him, because they wasn't ready for someone who was that polished coming out of college. Even though there were several black quarterbacks before him including Vince Evans. And the end of the day football at any level is just a game, and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out how to get the most out of your best talent.

I disagree. There is definitely someone that can take credit on improving his throwing and his ability to read defenses. Roman also can take credit for building a much diverse offense around him which was never done when Vick was quarterback. His talent is great but it's not a one-man show. Otherwise we would have one to the Chargers twice last year

And that's no knock on John Harbaugh, obviously! John Harbaugh is I think amongst The Best of the Best head coaches in the League. We compared game tape when I was in college at a competitive Division 1 program and the most explosive quarterback talents were moved to Cornerback, Receiver, Kick Returner and Safety over guys who were devoid of athleticism in comparison. Arm talent was the same, there has always been a double standard that devalues athleticism at the position.

All the talk about Lamar taking hits from scrambling and getting injured is stupid Lamar is Alvin Kamara couple inches taller with the skills to play QB he rarely gets hit in the pocket something Cam Newton could not avoid with Carolina and is the main reason why he has lost a couple seasons to injury. If you notice when Lamar is hit while scrambling he rarely gets hit square he has that ability to maneuver his body and absorb hits he also will deliver the blow if the defender is of similar stature to him and he does not try to be a hero he will run out of bounds and not take unnecessary hits something Cam Newton wouldn't do with good reason considering he is the size of a defensive end
@mkfloyd55 жыл бұрын
And look at the pocket passers who have been out for injury, Drew Brees, Patrick Mahomes, Ben Rothlesberger, etc. And Lamar has only missed game time due to his greatness, sitting out 4th quarters and the last game of the season because he put his team in a comfortable winning position.

Just to put it out there: the NFL has had running QBs before. Randall Cunningham was called the Ultimate weapon. They had cardboard cutouts of the man with Rockets on his feet in the supermarket for crying out loud! And just go back and look at what other QBs “like” Jackson have done. You will not get the “old way of thinking” to change until you show me a Run 1st QB that can last more than 5 year before he is done.
@supadupa68915 жыл бұрын
Im so sick of that description. He's a qb. No such thing as a run first qb. Cunningham lasted more than 5yrs Steve Young lasted more than 5yrs Donovan Mcnabb lasted more than 5yrs Steve McNair lasted more than 5yrs Vick lasted more than 5yrs Russell Wilson lasted more than 5yrs Cam Newton lasted more than 5yrs All of those qbs were decent enough passers and ran a lot. They might not have ran as much as Lamar(NOBODY HAS) but they still ran a lot. The only reason RGIII didn't last is because he was made of glass. Lamar isn't. Lamar was pointing back to fake the corners out and get a sideline catch to Andrew's..... I'm no "sports analyst " and I know this, dude just yelling.

You saw what happened in the last 5 all out blitz against him. Td 17 yd com inc TD TD. Hahahaha
@johnkordes15435 жыл бұрын
joshydep84 you blitz and miss contain and he’s is F’n gone. You be chasing him to the house. Need to pick a better poison. Killing the all out B right now
@joshydep845 жыл бұрын
That's why you do it for 2 full series. Only need to hit him in the mouth a couple times
@Mercenary-19145 жыл бұрын
TBH...Josh is right...if you can blitz and have 2 CBs that can cover like glue..and a safety like ed reed...yea you could all out blitz. The thing is, if you miss your assignment...Ingram or Lamar is running for a TD.
@dylanf31085 жыл бұрын
And Lamar will throw it to a tight end (Boyle, Andrews or Hurst) or Hollywood have fun with that.

You need to be able to have a fast defense Especially your linebackers, in order to stop Lamar Jackson
@urkeldicaprio74105 жыл бұрын
Tiger Hoods the Seahawks d was the closest to that. And the Rams are pretty fast too. You can’t stop him.
@cooperken8715 жыл бұрын
They still have to worry about stopping Mark Ingram and the rest of those running backs first or they will run for 💯 💯 💯 yds easily. Give that up to say you stopped Lamar and get beat by 50pts. That’s what ya would call the Lamar factor 😂😂😂😂

Untrue ,your fastest safety will be your free safety. Drop him in the spy and play Man 👊 on the #1.

Gran Marquis oh because no one else has tried that lol. Then he dots you up with 4TDs lol.

@@samsmith8935 yes Cleveland did that and the Ravens took the L!

Gran Marquis except Cleveland didn’t do that they just ran the ball against our OLD defense and got a lead and held it Lamar still played well that game

There is no need to spy..just lay in the cut...niners know what to do..

I guess the miners know what to do and no other team knew what to do. We will see.

@@patrickbrinson5569 Two other teams knew what to do this season. And the 49ers defense is way better than theirs. Not guaranteeing a victory at all but the Ravens are not unbeatable like you all seem to think.
@patrickbrinson55695 жыл бұрын
Yes they are beatable but it won't be by the niners. just sit back and watch the game and get back to me afterwards.

@@patrickbrinson5569 Like I said, I'm not guaranteeing anything. But if it's not our D, it's likely no one. Man, I thought Seahawks fans were cocky! Y'all are on a different level.

@@ryanj3975 I honestly am not a Ravens fan, I am a Lamar Jackson fan, I coached him in Little league. Yes, I cheer for him weekly because all his football life he has been told what he can't be. I just want him to do well because of all his doubters throughout his life. Don't care if they lose but I'm hoping they win because if they lose, they will find a way to blame a 22year old kid named Lamar Jackson.
