Putting Apprentices on the Fast Track to Success

The Barts Electric culture is all about building people, and one of the best ways to promote personal growth and skills mastery with any employee is by providing frequent and consistent feedback.
One of our new programs this year has been Fast Track, a multi-phase review process that gives our apprentices a weekly snapshot of how they are performing, beginning simply with their initiative, attitude and enthusiasm, then in later phases addressing specific skill sets and knowledge.
Fast Track provides our foremen a perfect coaching opportunity as well as a chance to more deeply engage with the team. This can help boost an apprentice’s confidence, address areas where they may need more training, and allow them to be more in control of their path to success.
